Today, we fit a 4H-Tech Short Shifter kit to Paul's Corsa VXR. A really easy to fit mod with a great improvement to the driving experience.

In my Corsa OPC D from 2008 fits Q-Shift by 4H-Tech. The replacement resulted in the change of neutral gear position. It has moved backwards 11 millimetres. The changes now are like these: Return gear. minus 13 mm 1st gear - 9 mm 2nd gear - 16 mm 3rd gear - 10 mm 4th gear. - 37 mm !!! 5th gear - 12 mm 6th geat. - 12 mm

TCR Racing battery removal is only really required for Corsa D VXR kits as they require more work. The only tricky part was filming it haha! 5 minute job max!

Stephen Owens yeah I was actually just reading about this. Vauxhall changed a few positions of the gearbox and updated the design slightly, so there is a difference. Not sure which model year that started though!

HaphazardGarage yea hope so had one in my typeR brill , the strut brace you fitted would one for a corsa d fit ? because that’s all I can find , and also did it make a difference thanks bud

Stephen Owens yeah the Corsa D VXR subframe braces are the same. The Forge one is fitted was from a D model. Yeah I definitely noticed a difference in the way it tightened up the steering and reduced some of the play at higher speed. Worth it for the price my man.

No absolutely not. Nothing to do with the MOT test. It’s been on my car for 3 MOTs without issue.

Will this help in my 2012 Corsa VXR Burg? Or something similar? I (and others after doing some reading) seem to beat the syncro's when changing gear, I'm grinding gears a lot more than i did with my other car, and want the cheapest/most effective way of reducing this whilst still being able to boot it.

Alex Thomson it sounds like a change of gearbox oil will help your situation far more than this. The M32 gearbox is notoriously dodgy and the oil level being low or quality being poor would certainly cause that crunching.

Alex Thomson everyone seems to rate Miller’s. You’ll have to double check viscosity as I’m not sure. 75w90 or something like that. And I’ve heard of people overfilling with 2.3 litres as opposed to the 1.8 litre stayed capacity as this helps.

@@haphazardgarage6439 yeah, ball diameter, calipar should do. it is quite a hasssle to get to there(lots of disassembly of plastic) especially in winter when plastic tends to crrack

Nothing mate. Fingers crossed. Although this is the newer, E version, so less issues with these.
