CORSA X-Pipe Install on my Camaro SS! *SUPER LOUD*

In this video, we go to Aces Performance to install a full 3" x-pipe exhaust setup. 5th Gen Camaros come from factory with 2.5" piping. With the mods done to the car and with the ones coming soon, the stock exhaust was hindering performance

Sounds great. The cam rocks. My 2011 2SS has the full Corsa 3" exhaust with stock cam. Its about the same loudness as I had with the original exhaust with Flowmaster 60s. What I noticed was better bottom end performance with the 3" probably less back pressure and better flow for sure. I do not have headers (I live in Californication). I think your Corsa X pipe versus the H-Pipe is only quieter because it flows better. The exhaust isn't collecting in pipes and buffeting the walls. Corsa rocks. I was considering Borla but they didn't have the 3" I was looking for. I am an old guy (over 65) and tackled the Corsa install on my garage floor. I had the old system off and new system on in about 3 hours. Not too bad. I was sore the next day. LOL Thanks for your great posts. Love the reality.

To touch on your Flowmaster topic, there was an actual test that showed Flowmaster on the newer stuff actually restricts horsepower a bit compared to other exhaust systems. Magnaflow is the way if you want that old school sound. And yeah I’m just like you. I wanted the Borla S-type, but they don’t come in 3in

I go to HMP, but not often. But when I do, I usually run my truck. This car I like to stretch it’s legs so the 1/8 don’t cut it 😅. For sure if you see me riding around, I’m down for whatever. And thanks for watching!

Curious what did the car dyno? You ported the throttle body and intake, right then added the tsp cam? How did it do? I am heads cam right not with stock intake and TB looking for some more torque and hp. Tuned conservatively making 480.

My car made 475 on the dyno. That was before doing this 3in X-pipe setup. I’ve seen where opening up the exhaust can add another 10hp give or take a few, but I don’t wanna put it back on the dyno until I upgrade the heads. I can definitely tell that it picked up some torque. The car actually spins the Nittos that I have that are supposed to be grippy

I have the SS3 and ported heads. 480/455. I picked up an intake from chuy. Going to add that and maybe mill the heads a bit. Want to get over 500 whp

@@paisley2342 if your heads are already ported, I think the next step up would be some aftermarket castings if you’re really looking for that 500 number

Hey bro I’m gonna order my new CORSA exhaust tmw, there’s 2 options in the website. With gfx and one without gfx. What does that mean??

It means if your car has the OEM GM ground effects body kit that some cars came with. The bumper is different which effects pipe placement. For example, my car is a non gfx option. Hope this helps

@@raulhurtado1 Google a gfx car rear end and compare it to yours. That’s the easiest telltale sign. You’ll see how much different the bumper is
