If you can get bottom fans in and get this thing a couple of inches off the desk it has very good temps. I used a metal stand to raise it up. The stand is empty in the middle so plenty of air can pass through. The front fans are way too blocked to provide good airflow. Taking the top tempered glass off helps temps as well as it blocks the radiator exhaust out the top. I love this case. It looks beautiful on the desk and that second chamber makes it very easy to build in and cable manage. If you use a 280mm top radiator be warned that cables can get tight at the top of the motherboard. I managed, but it took some planning.
@WayneWebbFilms4 жыл бұрын
Thus far I am happy with temps so not needing to do anything radical with the case. That said it's winter and I'm sure the summer would bring its headaches. I am thinking about a 280mm and I can imagine the issues, probably the same as trying to put 140mm fans in the bottom and the cables getting in the way!

Something you could do for the side glass panel is remove the threaded portion of the thumb screws with a saw, weld them to the case itself then either weld a small nut to the back of the the screw head (where the threads used to be or hollow out the back of the thumb screw to countersink the nut maybe) that way you would essentially have pegs to keep the glass in place when you remove the thumbscrew heads and the glass would sit there till you slide it off the pegs.

Hello! Nice video, awesome to see that the 3090 fits in it. I am a sucker for small yet powerful systems, especially white ones. Noticed that the case is very limited and hard to get here in Norway. Maybe that's because corsair is making a new m-atx case?? It's two years old after all. I am upgrading from my 6 year old bitfenix prodigy m. The prodigy can't fit those fat rtx 3000 GPUs due to radiator clearance, so the Corsair 280x looks like a nice successor to it. @WayneWebbFilms4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's pretty cool. I had a look around online and I wasn't sure it would but the proof is in the pics. The 680x looks like a beast but this is a nice tidy case. I only used a 240, 280 in the roof is possible but not something I have done but it is a bit fliddly with the top fan headers etc. Ram clearance won't be an issue. The screw i was using on my 240 did interfere with the 8pin, just rested on it but I removed the screw. Using a flat one would be okay as well. With a 280 this shouldn't be a issue but there should be enough room to route the cable around because there is plenty of room. I don't think I would've have choice to choose an ITX or mATX because I've heard it becomes very cluttered with the usb connections if there're two bottom fans with and mATX board in this case (like the case as the box, not the other case XD) But I'm thinking to go with this case, 6 fans (240 front intake AIO, 2x120 bottom mounted fans, 2x120 top mounted exhausts) and a 2080ti so I can cool the gpu properly as well as the Ryzen 7 3700x. There is a guy who is using the Noctua NH-U12S in his build - see link hardforum.com/threads/150mm-maximum-tall-air-cooler-recs.1993463/ and here is his build imgur.com/ONDtrLO I get the feeling that the Corsair figures aren't necessarily hard and fast considering they say 300mm for GPU but I got a bigger one in it. Unfortunately I don't have the case in my possession to check the dimensions

@@WayneWebbFilms Noctua NH-U12S height is 158mm cant fit in corsair 280x.

I know but the guy had it in there. Like I said, their measurements are a little loose. You'll have to get an AIO ;)

Would a ASUS rog strix 3070 fit in that case ?
@WayneWebbFilms4 жыл бұрын
The card is 318.5mm and you'll have about 8mm gap between the card and the fan. I had to remove the bottom fan to install the 3090 FE but you may get away without having to....just tight angles but not too tricky to get in.

Love this case, wish I got a 011 dynamic mini instead

Nice looking case, might have to take a look at one in a future video

I wanted to get a 011 Mini but they only allow STX PSUs. Currently i've got an aerocool aero 800 but I want something smoother looking plus its a pain in the ass of a case so started looking at this one instead since i like the whole dual chamber idea but airflow seems like a problem

I have the 011 mini too, but i might switch for the 680x

If its a case that can fit a 3090 i need it lol

It's a great case so if you have the FE edition you're all good. Not so sure about other brands though :)

its micro DTX
@WayneWebbFilms3 жыл бұрын
Hi, unsure what this relates to, but the motherboard in the build is Micro ATX - Z490-G. Mini DTX is the longer version of a Mini ITX motherboard.

Intel and nvidia so basic

Lol, I'm usually always Ryzen but thought I'd have a change after their shocking 5000 series launch. Also currently running an RX6800...

I actually want a 5900x or 5950x but will have to wait until there is retail stock available. They're expensive enough without Scalper Tax added.
