I'm trying to convince my wife that a corsair trailable trimaran should be our next boat. If you are ever in need of some crew let us know! We live in northeast Houston and would love to lend a hand on one of these boats to get a feel for it !

Thanks for watching and subscribing. I was guest crew on that boat that day, I have a mono hull. I do love the Corsairs, though, and may still end up with one someday.

@@tnick340 Awesome. We also have a small mono 74' Venture 21 which we really enjoy but are looking for something more coastal cruising worthy with some performance aspects.

How much does one of these boats (used say 10-15 yrs old) cost?
@tnick3404 жыл бұрын
They haven’t made the F27 for 20 years, quick check of yachtworld shows a 1997 for $45,000. The newer F28 is $75,000.

I have seen them 17-34k (25-30 yo), depending on sails, condition, and part of US. Would love to own one.

what SOG were averagedon the tacks?
@tnick3405 жыл бұрын
Several years ago, but I would say over 10 knots. We were mostly reaching, doing speed runs back and forth on the bay.

@@tnick340 You had a Full main up and the other boat was reefed, what was it blowing? How much wind can this boat take?
@tnick3402 жыл бұрын
@@jtechie3 Not sure, 20 knots with an experienced crew without reefing would not bother some people. But, with the roller furling boom on the mainsail, it is so easy to reef or shake the reef out with infinite adjustment. Might as well reef if you’re uncomfortable with the wind strength.
