Thanks to a viewer for allowing us to point this out. You should only do 7 devices per chain, two chains adding up to 14. Like if you were to chain 3 front fans, a 360mm aio(4), and one rear fan that totals 8, which would put that chain in low power mode. Which means you would need two hubs in this case. Just something to be aware of!

@@evilpotato69 Yep, instead of looking at it like a single 14-device iCUE Link Hub, think of it as two 7-device Hubs joined together. I don't know if it's a power limit or a data limit, but I'm assuming it's about how much power they can send down each chain.

Damn, now that is sexxxy. I totally need to have a full new fan setup, have 4 cores for my case rn with how much fans/light strips are in my obsidian 1000d. Would only need 1 for the fans, and another for the lights, with ample extra for the liquid cooling I am planning on getting

I have the icue Hub and the controller on my new PC and im getting errors of pump failure could that be why? FYI newby pc builder

Is the controller connected to the power supply's PCI cable, that cable to connect the video card?

I would like to see if they can incorporate the led RGB light strips, and the lighted triangles into link as as well. Also have some of their exsisting RGB cases namely the 5000T already be set up for icue link.

They already have cases prebuilts with Icue fans, it also works with nano leaf (the RGB triangles) and with Phillips hue lightbulbs, and with some Asus ROG products

I think it's really a great innovation (tx Lian Li) but I prefer the pump look of the H150i ELITE LCD, so hopefully they will offer that option soon

Nice video - I built my first pc with this system. Love it and looks great but one thing did annoy me. There was no cable included in the box with one fan. My build (Lian li dynamic evo) has 3 bottom fans, 3 side fans, a cooler with 2 fans and one extra rear fan. But had to order a separate cable for that one fan which given the price is a bit stingy in my view

It would be sick if they had included the Elite LCD screen on the cpu cooler or allowed it to be added to the setup.

Apparently the LCD stuff is coming later this year. And according to Corsair, you'll be able to buy the AIO with the LCD already attached, or buy the LCD add-on separately. And there will be LCD versions of the Hydro X CPU blocks and Pumps too. Word of note, the LCD screen requires an extra USB-C connection to the motherboard, apparently the standard Link cables can't push enough data to drive the LCD.

Heads up if you go with a 3060 12gb and a Ryzen 5 7600 you can EASILY fit the AIO and the case fans into a 1500 dollar budget.

mines have a weird lag to the animations. it's very sudle but you can see it, only when icue is on. on hardware lightings the animations are smooth.

They have mentioned that their roadmap includes products that trade the RGB bling to focus on performance, I'm hoping those are a bit cheaper. But it's certainly not unusual for a company like Corsair to introduce a new product line with their flashiest products in that line. I'm not interested in iCUE Link because I want my PC to look like it belongs at a rave, I'm in it for cooling performance and ease of setup.

In its early days it definitely had issues, but it's been pretty solid for me for quite some time now. Especially since version 4 was released. Do you have specific gripes with it? What version of it did you use, and with what parts?

My gripe with the software is that mine no longer saves custom settings. It constantly resets to defaults. This is to say nothing of the issues with the software and hardware not working properly with AM4 CPU socket, killingy USB ports and hard drive.

Seriously? Look at the crazy builds some people put together. There's definitely a market for it. It's a high-end product that does offer additional capabilities beyond what their existing hardware can do. Of course there's going to be a price premium.
