Becoming a public company was probably one of the worst decisions Corsair has made in the last few years. Their peripherals were never Tier 1, but I remember they were pretty popular about 8 years ago. They've consistently released more and more poorly developed products. More companies should stay privately owned. Not every company can be an Apple or a Google.

Regarding 2K, I’ve heard from another reviewer they were able to poll at 2000, so it’s still questionable right now whether it is or is not actual 2K polling. I’ve not been able to get mine to go over 1,000 on my tests WITH updating the firmware as of 10/23/23

mixed things about polling but i made the purchase off corsair for 45% off the price including free grip tape worth $45cad also. for that big of a discount it was worth until i test it ofc thanks for the review

About the polling rate, are the polling rate measuring tools accurate for above 1k hz? Because my Darmoshark M3s also does not reach 2k hz.

Regarding the 2k polling, what if you try setting to 1600 or 3200 DPI then running the test again? According to Optimum Tech you needa set higher DPI for it to actually use the full 2k polling instead of only in fast flicks kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKWkhZWmgtaVgpYsi=g6PvH1xcqP9WJwJr

Doesn’t make a difference what dpi you’re on for the test.

Even 800 dpi is enough to have the mouse hit 2k polling. OT even shows that in the video you linked. You can test this on basically any polling rate checker. If you want to saturate 4k and 8k all the time then yes you need to flick your mouse constantly on a higher dpi

How do the polls look like in MouseTester graphs? Is it like creating a higher and lower interval for each poll to average out to 2k?

After looking up some stuff, I found out that the independent website "RTINGS" has scored some of Corsairs mice that have this "fake 2k" polling rate as some of the most accurate mice they have ever tested. Even better than Razer's viper mini SE. I think what they are doing is creating two sensor position reports and then averaging them out to one poll which is why it shows up as 1k polling. So its basically a more accurate 1k polling rate. At least that's my theory. Quite the trickery!

Corsair mice are either trash or overpriced most of the time, sometimes BOTH (also iCUE is so freaking garbage). Can't think of a Corsair mouse ever released that was both ACTUALLY GOOD and correctly priced, this seems like a $60-$70 mouse sold at a 2x profit and should be in the same price bracket as the MM712 imo

Between GPX V2, Lamzu offerings, Pulsar offerings, Razer offerings, and any other you may suggest, what mouse would you say is best for 20x10.5/10.75 hands using a super relaxed claw (like palm but with slightly curled fingers -- ring and pinky pointing forward and down at an angle of 30-50 degrees tops)?

@@FreshReviewsYTjust curious, have you had bad mousepad scratches on any of your gpx 2 copies? I have tried out a couple different gpx 2s which scratch on my mousepad even with core pads on them. Not sure if it was just in the batches that happened to be sent to Best Buy where I live or what.
