Yes the ear cups can be changed - I just ordered one's with slightly larger inner space as well as offering a bit more depth.

You can change the earcups on this headset. They are even making them now with the plastic piece so you dont have to "alter" your headset at all.

I think the main things that the XT has going over the SE or standard Virtuoso are added comfort, bluetooth compatibility and the Dolby Atmos that is included.

@Mercy Stroke I never got to mess around with the SE so I don't know how they match up. I did get the XT and the lack of comfort was a major problem. I think with replacement 3rd party ear cups that could have been solved, but for the price I just returned them. I think between the XT and the SE there is more padding in the headband.

@@piethon. I went with the JBL Quantum 800. They were on sale prime day for like $140. So less than half the price. More comfortable for sure. Negatives are: can't use when charging and will fall off your head if not careful. Will eventually get steelseries arctis pro wireless

Not for 250. Listen to any studio mic for $50 and an interface for about $50 and there you've got a great mic. Then you've got $150 left for good headphones and not a gaming headset.

Good range if there aren’t any major walls or floors in the way of the receiver, otherwise it’s pretty average.

I have the previous version, and love them. I have no issues with comfort, or sound quality. I don’t see the any major enhancements on this version aside from the addition of Bluetooth. I’d be willing to upgrade if they used the older mic from the original RGB and added a side tone feature on console. Side tone Works great on PC btw. Corsair please find a way to add side tone for consoles, and bring back the original rgb mic!

How is the mic 🎙️ using the 3.5mm jack? All the others who I call say they can hear an echo with the SE. Did this change from the SE?

I just bought this headset. I got the Logitech Artemis Spectrum G933 before and back in the day the asking price was 340 Euro. Worst experience ever with Logitech. Problem wise and build quality aswell. The Corsair headset on the other hand looks like a steal to me with this build quality etc.

Anyone know whats the best headset I can get where it can take audio from both the PS5 and PC at the same time without a mixer? I was told a wireless headset that has a USB Dongle and 3.5mm can do that. What woudl be the best headset for that sort of setup?

I must say i just bought these, and they kinda hurt at the top of the head, still not enough padding. and the sound is just not what i thought it was gonna be, kinda dissapointed, even tho i messed around with the software. Plus the headset if i just touch it a bit and it changes angle just a little bit, the sound is just so different. really amazing and beautiful headset, with so plus sides. the design is amazing, wireless is amazing and the mic is amazing. but yeah just not for me.

The Virtuoso XT comes with Dolby Atmos - if you're on PC it would be the XT 👍👍

Dolby atmos. Just plug in the headset and it bypasses the price for only the headset. So far it only works on pc not on Xbox for example which also has the app in the marketplace.

Astro 50s are beyond overhyped. I fell into it. Purchased it during the legendary best buy misprice of $95 so I got lucky. The sound was absolutely brilliant for the first year, everything felt great - design, functions, etc. However, when that year passed the base started having massive issues with docking, battery life, charging, static bleeding, and started making me miserable. I looked up the issue on reddit and their website, and issues like this were very common. Pro: Comfy Ease of use on PC Functionality Sound is top of the line Con: Too many issues later in life Mic is horrendous Terrible to set up on ps5 even with optical converter I purchased the Arctic pro later on, and I loved it at first but after a month I was getting a clicking noise on the headset ear cup, so I sent it back. Purchased this instead, and never had an issue for the past month, but we will see.

Astro a50 or a40 are awful compared to this I've had all three . Astro sound is meh at best the mic is ok but this headset just dominates them in sound quality and mic quality. its comical to state other wise just look at the frequency response and mic comparison tells you all you need to know for pc the virtuoso is miles ahead of Astro no if's and's or but's

One of the worst headset I ever have .... sound quality is very narrow..it sounds like a 25 $ headset.

Avoid them at all costs. Poor sound quality and they hurt. I ended up getting the HyperX Cloud Orbit S and I haven't been happier with a purchase. Just pay 30$ more and get the HyperX. They just don't compare with the corsair.
