For memory foam cups, leather is the better option. Memory foam will expand and need replacing if it gets wet from water or sweat, which cloth won’t protect it from.

I bought these and had to return them immediately. I would lose signal by standing up a foot away from the receiver and the mic kept going robotic on me.

@@leum0118 not yet - hope you haven’t jinxed them. Customer service can’t be as bad as Razer but I bought from Curreys so I have a local shop to go to if they fail. Sorry yours let you down. My son has wired Steel Series and he loves those so if the Corsairs fail I’ll try Steel Series next

All i can say, Is the headphones and mic are great. When the mic breaks though, It's a death sentence. Almost works out just as cheap to buy a new pair of Headphones in Australia because Corsair don't ship international....

How do these sound listening to music? I’m tying to find a headset that I can watch and stream stuff (Netflix, KZbin, Spotify) and game ofc. I don’t need a headset that sounds “AMAZING” just..good. So since I want to to other things then just game, should I just get a non gaming headphone and a separate mic? I was just intrigued by this one because they have a decent sounding mic that’s already a part of it, so I don’t my have to carry an extra thing around. And they just look nice lol. So can someone give me some advice lmaoo. I’m so stuck

@@blaackdolphin Tho its been a few months since you guys commented, I still wanna give my input for people that are in the same situation. The headset for itself and for it being wireless is really good. The mic does not have the advertised "broadcast quality" but it is still really good; BUT still worse than a mic on a good wired pair of headphones. If your are not particularly in need of a wirelees headset, I would definitely go with a pair of good headphones (like the DT 770/990 Pro) and a dedicated external mic - that will give you tons of better quality on both sides and will cost you about the same if not less depending on the prices you can get on everything. Listening to music is good, yes, but not great. You definitely have to EQ them because, honestly, out of the box the sound like trash. I just bought this headset because I got a very good deal and wanted a wireless headset for when I am not at home. On my gaming rig, I use a pair of DT 1990 Pros which are worlds better than the Corsair. But still, the Virtuoso is enjoyable if EQd correctly. I would also suggest not using the iCUE equalizer but Equalizer APO with the Peace GUI. Comfort wise: It could really be better. Dont get me wrong, they ARE comfortable but not as comfortable as you would expect a headset of the price point to be. For example: The HyperX Cloud Alpha - at least where I live, you can get it for less than half the price. It sounds (a lot) better, bass hits a lot harder (if thats what you, reading this, are looking for) and is A LOT more comfortable. The Virtuoso is a tad more breathable but you can always switch earpads on the HyperX. Headband and earpads on the HyperX are a lot more comfortable. I dont feel any pain or anything even after hours of use but I always think "man, they couldve done lots better with the padding". Quality is amazing on the Virtuoso. Almost no plastic, everything feels great and sturdy. But as I said: If you are not looking for a wireless headset, I would strongly suggest taking those 200€ or whatever and spending them on a pair of good headphones (as mentioned above) and an external mic. Both will give you a lot better audio quality. But if you are looking for a wireless headset, honestly, the Virtuoso is the way to go. In my opinion, there is nothing that comes close in that price range, especially if you can get a good deal on it.

leather ear cups are more hygienic than cloth. the only cloth earphones id consider are detatchable / washable ones but even then.... its so much eaier just to wipe leather down.

@@lenny5191 no. The headphones. I use an external microphone. Idk what their deal was, but they sounded bad. Either a faulty headset, or something was interfering with them and it didn't like it. Back to wired headphones for me though :)

Yup and it's the #1 killer of this headset...you shouldn't need to use Discord's mic NR or Nividia's RTX voice NR app/software...this set IMHO would be nearly perfect if the mic didn't pick up every dam little noise in it's area. Near perfect because it's also too heavy.

Why is Virtuoso a bad name for a gaming headset? Do you even know what it means? Also, with current technology, wired is always going to sound better than wireless. You make it sound like the drop in wireless sound, is a bad thing. To me, it sounds like Corsair has pushed the sound quality to the headset's limits, and so it is natural than when you switch to the USB cable (which is great quality, and that is not mentioned) you will have a sound improvement. Isn't that a plus, that you have that option. Would you be happier if the sound remained the same when switched to USB, just because you would get the "best" sound in both modes? Anyhow, you at least mentioned the mike quality, which is important for people to know.

I sware a lot of reviewers must have been bribed or something. The sound on these things is so flat with almost zero bass. Bass is like what you get with stereo speakers without a subwoofer. And the comfort is pretty average. Also, I don't think they're worth the money. Especially considering how you can get very small Bluetooth adapters these days which provide aptX Low Latency which can turn any wired headphones to wireless. (if you can detach the cables obviously)
