I see $199 - $250 US price. It looks like a pretty good deal. Who is Cort? Mr. Internet says: "Cort Guitars is a South Korean guitar manufacturing company located in Seoul. The company is one of the largest guitar makers in the world, and produces instruments for many other companies. It also has factories in Indonesia and China." - So, it's not some fly by night knockoff company. You made the Cort sound good. This video was done in shorts and short sleeves. Well in 5 or 6 months, you can break out the shorts and short sleeves again. (Come tho think of it. I can learn a lot of guitar stuff in that amount of time.) Happy New Year!

Cort, the strategic partner for PRS in the SE line, with Ola Strandberg on his guitars and likely many more. I reckon they should never be under-estimated as maker. The challenge is that their own brand is unknown. I love satin or open pore guitars more then most, so this is killer product. I actually just scored a Boxing Day deal on an Mustard Yellow (my take on the colour) Cort Sunset TC, a "hybrid" between Tele and Les style Single Cut. It was priced to move because folks don't know what they are. Looking forward to try it.

I have a couple of Cort factory acoustics and they are great. The factory manufactures for many name brands and it is no surprise that their own offering is of decent quality too. Interesting tonal range - the humbucker definitely adds a punch. Shorts in winter ? Tough bunch the Karjalainens !

My acoustic guitar is a Cort CEC5 NAT. Cort is a really good brand. High quality guitars at good prices. Although my next guitar purchase will likely be a BMG Special, when I'm well-off enough to justify it.

Wow wow wow!!! *Impressed as always by your way of playing* ... In this case I love the design and the colors of the guitar... I use a Pacifica 112V and a Fender (not squier)... Among others... But this design pleases me it caught my attention (I liked it a lot), however I imagined that it was worse than bad due to its low price... I had the opportunity to try it in the store in front of my apartment, and it is comfortable to play, and, although it is not I liked the pickups, they're not too bad and they can also be changed... But I find it beautiful and above all comfortable... I didn't know you had made a video of this guitar, which makes me happy, and it impresses me how you play so many sounds from such a cheap guitar... the truth is that you are too good at playing and it shows that you have a natural talent (maybe even a broomstick with wires will add magic)... Anyway, thanks to this video I want to buy this guitar as a combat instrument, and obviously I will change the pickups, (although what they advise is not to invest improvements in cheap guitars). But this is different since I really love its slim and elegant design... Cort in general is the best quality/price alternative. Greetings as always from Chile (to the south of this world)

Just disassembled mine, nice surprise: conductive paint in the cavity and shielded wire from vol pot to the jack! Leveled the frets before polishing only the 20-21-22 were a bit high, edge of the fretboard was nicely rounded (I remember my G100 had very sharp fretboard edges). The nut was cut perfectly, you can remove the string tee from the D and G string and put the extra ring spacer to the B and e string tree, polished the nut slots with 2000grid sandpaper and added some pencil lead. Great guitar for the price the only cheap thing are the original strings I could not stretch them out properly but you can just use them to grind down the gritty frets if you do not want to polish them. One more thing keep an eye out for the neck pocket the first they have sent me was a mess, the second had perfect routing. Also tighten the neck screws a bit, poplar is not the most sturdy wood type but close to alder and basswood.

My oldest son has an "Action PJ" Cort bass that costs less than $300 brand new, and it's a surprisingly good quality axe. I especially like the neck... Only about 1.75" at the nut and easy on the hands. Reminds me of my Fender Jazz a bit.

Some sponge in the spring. You can put it in with a screwdriver or a wire. The springs with the sponge inside have zero resonance, zero reverb

Great vid mate, I’d like to see you review one of the Gear-4-music budget strats, like the LA legacy. Beyond their own promo vids there aren’t many reliable reviews on here. The finishes on them look really nice but playability remains properly untested here it seems.

Starter guitar that is miles beyond what i first had in circa 1983... yank out the tremolo block (put in a solid brass), put new tuners, a bone nut, new pots & caps, and I'd say you would have a gigging level guitar for life...

Dear Elmo, That sound is most likely to be the tremolo springs resonance. A foam on the back of the springs would be the solution if that's the case

The noise is reverberations from the springs. Toilet paper, cloth, anything to insulate it. Possibly that harmonic thing on the G-string, above the nut, again simply fixed.

Cort is totally bad arse!!! Oh my God so many memories with this guitar 🎸 My first guitar was a seafoam blue/green Strat version of this guitar. It totally rocked the house. This is awesome upgrade of the one I had. I'm going to get another one just for the reason I let her go, was one of the hardest things I ever did. Very cool. I would have died for a guitar like that when I started playing. The first couple or three guitars I owned had such a bad action it was like pushing barbed wire against a fence post.. ;-) I have my 90 Charvel reverse with just one humbucker, although it has a slanted single coil sized humbucker I never use in it and it's unhooked to get it out of the circuit to make the signal as direct as possible.. :-) The volume knob says tone too! ;-) I also have a Japanese strat that I need a new neck for. I put EMG SA's in it. 3 of them, and the neck now just isn't my thing.. So I'm trying to decide what neck to buy, and I think I'll get one with EVO gold frets or Stainless frets and a graphite nut or metal nut. It has a great 6 screw Fender type trem with a real steel big block from the Japanese factory.. Great guitar, just needs a new neck for me.. I think I'll get the EVH profile which is asymetrical I love.. :-) That thing has some problem with tuning I noticed.. :-) It did have a buzz or something I noticed I could hear it thru my headphones on my laptop as I listened.. Just here and there.. Weird.. Great review sir.. I hope you had a great Xmas and have an even better new year my friend! Pro Tip: Stay away from the Russian border.. ;-) :-)

Following much study of your videos, I’ve just unboxed my Cort G110 … WOW !! What an excellent guitar ! Not just value for money, but GOOD good. 👍 €145.57 / £129 from Scan UK. (They appear to have finished this give-away deal now though). Regular UK deals are still £149 / €168 though. 9s are not my favourite but they can stay for now. No complaints about the Ceramic pickups. Once I’ve done the nut, intonation (and maybe a little fret levelling) this is going to be able to hold it’s head up with my Fender and my Variax in the S-Type department.

A couple of hours fettling and it’s pretty much sorted. I filed the fret ends so now there are no catchy ends. They weren’t horrible before but they’re all smooth now. I ‘eased’ the nut slots and applied Nut Sauce … Neck was a hair over straight so I slackened the truss rod. Intonation is done now, was Waay off.. She’s sounding great. And what a bargain !! I can get the frets done on my Fender Strat now (96 MIJ), and if it takes time then no worries. 🧙‍♂

1 month later ... Still sounding good. Even with the original 9s on it. Today though, she gets a set of Kluson Lockheads, GraphTech trees and nut. The stock tuners have a little too much backlash. And while the strings are off I might as well GraphTech the sticky points ... Adds £59 to the cost but that was only £129 to start with .

Had a Cort guitar years back it had a Tiger stripe flame maple top on it , Rosewood fretboard and an Alder body but and here's the big Butt lol get the pun , the humbuckers in it were awful like something you would find on a Squier affinity Strat but for a £250 guitar back in 2012 i cant expect miracles , anyway my point is people overlook the Cort guitars but they are easily as good as any Squier or Yamaha out there.

I built a 3.5 ton quartz crystal orgone generator with NEO dynium magnets. (In heaven everything run with crystals magnets.) My orgone (generates Yahwehs life force) generator is the white horse rider of revelation = fire burning Satans dimension. (Computer program) My Frank MUCH superiour to Eds. How so? Example. Your low e string Satan made ultra fat. MY low e is same size as smaller string beside it. (.032) isnt muddy in thmix much easier crisp 2play &hear& tap action set MUCH lower. My high e? Same saize string next 2 IT. (.011) (Makes it sound much louder bcuz Satan gives u teeny string so u cant hear it properly, taps2 quiet etc. Breathe wrong it breaks u will spend 15 -20k strings a lifetime. Satan uses massive bass increase guitar/neck tension2insane levels vs my tremelo much easier bend. Action super easy low. Satan standard tune raises my heart rate. LITERALLY i use EB tune. These factors put MUCH less strain guitar/trem/hardware. Resonates with reality. (Earth vibration 432kz.) It matters unless u read satans bllsht google. Human voice resonates with eb flat. Ask any singer. They tell u. You press MUCH LESS on fret. Your guitars a nightmare. If u play HALF A DAY u FRETS HAVE LONG VERTICAL LINES &shiny flat spots unwound stringz. I use softer string alloys. Van halen copied my guitar in only 2, 3 repects. My new Frank I changed dozens of thingz. Primarily his original FIRST Frank neck was wider thenANY neck made 2day. His radius was around 17 or 20. (Frets were very FLAT.) Made it easier play. Stainless frets last 4ever? U funny guy. So was Ed. Lol Satans boys gave Ed stainless alloy spiced on 95% brass. These factories are serpents. Literally Reptilan Angels run. U will spend 15 - 30k on stringz in 50 years. 50 years is not that long. Lol i designed floyd rose so u couldloosen reclamp stringz. Lol Floyd duznt even know that neither did Ed. Ed nowhere near on my level. Lol stringz dont oxidize or wear out whatsoever. Sound a tad dffrnt new, so what? Not better. Just dffrnt. I have had enuff i will see if i sell even 1 guitar ebay &I am getting rid of all this stuff i had enuff. No humans or common sense left. I hereby signing out. 98% you tube not humans. I am worlds best guitarist. I quit playing 25 years ago. Then i played only 3 years 8 hour days. We dont have that kind of time. Time is money u have 2have millions2 afford 2not work but ONLY PLAY 5 years minimum 2get good. My 5 amps &speakers BROKE IN 5 YEARS. MY Wolfgang shot 2 hell. The electronics shot. Bucketheads guitars also, his electrinics go out regularly he has been selling his guitars. I lived near Buck &Ed 35 years they wr friends both avatars Satan used 2whitewash me. Living on 3k a year my only hope is pull out selling it. Manufactures wont dare ask see prototype. They corrupt. I give blueprints free any1 every1 whoever ask... Lol not even 1person will. One thing I don't like about these budget brands is that they have such ugly, plain headstock logos. I mean this Cort Logo is nothing to get excited about. Sand it off and slap on an Ibanez decal.
