I've been seriously considering purchasing the Gen 3. Coming from a Marshall Code 50, all the videos say the Boss Katana is superior to the Marshal Code. That said, I REALLY like the Marshall Code amp. Options (and tone) for days!!!! Especially when you use the app. Which brings me to my point. The app on the Marshall is 100% free, the bluetooth is 100% free, and in 2025, it works flawlessly (do the updates). Adding Bluetooth as a pay option feels like a cash grab by Boss and is a Non-Starter for me. I will not be buying this amp, no matter how good it is, which is sad, cuz I hear it's a great amp. 😒

I'm happy not be that person. But still lazy practicing, just playing stuff very many times. I played the kiss of death solo maybe 100 times, and it was needed. I have short fingers and 56 years old.

Vintage makes you realise how much the big brands like Fender and Gibson rip you off. Vintage guitars are the same if not better than the big brands. You are literally only paying for the name on the head stock!

Once the battery's gone, could you still use the amp, plugged into an outlet?

I have one, and once I understood it (it's not that difficult either) I wouldn't change it for any other. For me it is excellent. But it's just an opinion and personal taste.

Will you review the new Fender standard tele? Had my eye on the Harley Benton but pictures on Thomann shows a real light fretboard now. Not so sure if I like that.

Just bought red colour off eBay, man what a clean tone, I love it, exactly as you mentioned n your videos. The amp is rock solid and it’s obvious how quality declined since the 2000. It was solid components back then than now. Thanks again mate I’m selling my katana 50 for sure.

HI :) I bought Jet JS300 - amazing guitar for this proce, however I do have so trouble with mine. Maybe you could be so kind and help me with some information. I have still few days to decide if I want to keep it or return and information provided by you may be of a great importance. Fist of all - yes, I do know quite a lot about guitars, and all you will (hopefully ) read below is already after the set up and all adjustments were done. . -how is the nut on your model? Mine may to have slots cut too narrow cause it seems to bind the strings. Did you change the original 9 gauge for 10? Do you have any problems with strings being caught on the nut and so issues with tuning? In my case lubricant didn't help. . -also my nut seems to be quite high. There seems to be quite a lot of space between strings and first fret and so when I fret any string on first, second fret the notes ar sharp. But not just slightly - it spoils the whole tunning. So guitar is in perfect tuning on open strings, intonation set right, action as low as possible, all notes fretted above 3rd fret are clear and round but on 1st and 2nd fret sharp too much - unable to play chords in that positions close to head. . - another thing is that I can't tune it properly everywhere, now I know that guitar can't be tune perfectly due to equal temperament, but compromises between some strings that I have on this guitar are just too big (B and G strings needs to be tuned flat but way too flat). Can you tune it in a way that you are satisfied, no significant dysonans are heard? Acceptable balance across all fingerboard? Cause I can't achieve it with mine. B and G strings are or to high for one position or to low for other, and when I try to find some common ground and tune them in between in the middle - then just nothing is in tune. -do you use whammy bar? . Did your guitar also came only in ONE PLAIN BOX? When I saw it I was surprised but also upset - this should be shipped with more care. Hence I wonder if my guitar maybe is broken in a way, or just I am unfortunate to receive a faulty model. . I will be so grateful for your help. I have really hard time to decide if something is wrong and to keep it or return (warranty or return policy)

I have an affinity with SSS and i'm happy with it. I also like the bigger headstock more. Replaced tuners with gotoh locking and used lube on the nut, it stays in tune pretty well.

can't do that with high action, where you pushing the string your trying to hit out of the picks way...i am trying to get my action lower, but it's not that low i can tell you.

Don’t think those single coil pickups are really meant for this type of amp. Even if they’re Malmsteen pickups, it just doesn’t work. It is the only vid I’ve seen where this amp sounded this crappy.

What picks are you using these days? I've been using the white Clayton acetyl 1.56's for some time now. I'm stuck in a weird place where I love the feel of them which always brings me back but I find the tone they give is a bit muddy & flubby especially on the bottom end.

"He bought his 8th FERRARI" 🤣 As well as the link to your Patreon in the description, you also have a link to Yngwie's signature Strats! I think Yngwie gets more of a kickback. You're the only person I've heard talk about him in 20 years to be blunt. You inspired me to learn a couple of his licks. It's a shame.

To be honest it sounds pretty good, not 100% but above average considering its price. It looks pretty nice. However it seem the bridge or something is crap because you can hear lots of noice when moving your fingers. I would also stay away from a brand called Fazley. Shittiest guitars iv'e ever tried.

Careful when you say that only beginner or near beginner would buy this guitar. There are a lot of great guitar players living in poor countries that can’t even afford a classic vibe, they kept playing “beginner” guitars forever 😭😭

I have this amp and use it mostly for playing at lower volumes in my music room although I regularly jam with a bass player and another guitar player with our vocals through a pa. I almost exclusively keep it on the clean 2 setting and use my pedals to vary the sound. I am able to get any number of really great sounds without having to crank it up to the point where it hurts my ears unlike nearly all of the other amps I have tried. It may not be the perfect amp for everyone but it is working well for me. Ps. The more I play my guitar the better it sounds. It’s at least 95% the musician and at most 5% the musician.

Usually a sign of monetary desperation. They are scraping the bottom of the barrels. Im not saying you are the bottom of the barrel, but obviously you are not at his dinner table. Greed will pick up the crumbs that fall off that table even though You helped line his pocket by raising attention to his craft, gear, songs, ect....Good luck
