Usually the headlamp bowl as a whacking big hole on the bottom of it so I think that's looks good considering. Keep the faith Simone.

I over estimated it Mac. But to fix it right will be to replace the backing plate

I do enjoy your channel. Wearing ear defenders is a must if noise is prolonged. I have chronic tinitus and I had that from going listening to Saxon at full belt. Keep up the good work and I hope to see you at a show in the future.

@@davidking9707 thanks David, it was only for a short period of time and honestly it wasn't too loud. I quite like Saxon myself. 🤘🏻

never felt the need to do a welding course, imagine it would be standing welding clean new steel. totally different from cars, you can learn loads of tricks from youtube, fitzees fabrications i would say is the best, no music, no bs just straight up tips from someone doing it. remember any panel can be made by a combination of bending, stretching and shrinking. i do all mine by hand i don't have a shrinker/ stretcher it just takes longer👍
@CortinasAndClassics2 ай бұрын
@@ianfoster6907 I have fabricated before too. It would just be nice have a ticket.

Looking forward to your welding as you go to school for it. I hope they have someone to teach auto idu welding as that's a different ballgame than typical welding classes teach. The county college here has great classes on auto body welding etc but unless you live near by it's a allot of driving in heavy traffic to get there. Not sure what it costs.

Hi Robert, Thank you. I think I will try to document the course as I go- Vlog style, I doubt I will be allowed to film in class. It lasts one day a week for 17 weeks.

The best way to treat rust is engine oil Just wire brush the rust and brush on engine oil Rust kill is a wast of time Simone Liking the videos And happy you have got the welding course 👏
@CortinasAndClassics2 ай бұрын
Thanks Magnet. I have used engine oil before but not under paint.
@magnetfinder75022 ай бұрын
@@CortinasAndClassics You only want to brush the oil where you can’t see it like behind the headlights underneath the car bottom of sills We are all on a budget It’s more about preserving the car Once rust is there you will never stop it Unless you cut it out Or you oil

This is not going to be a quick fix seems a bit of an understatement... everything time you cut something off or remove a panel there's more trouble to find underneath!
@CortinasAndClassics2 ай бұрын
It's mostly solid thankfully but the way it is constructed is interesting. I will need to unpick it panel by panel. But as Pete says- it's only metal and can be replaced.
