From what I was able to gather, it was purely for self defence, both surface and anti air. A corvette like this is likely to turn tail at the first sight a frigate or larger and would always have an escort. Probably why it was only fitted with the bare necessity in terms of surface radar.

i love the look of this ship it is currently in my line up but i have uptiered it with the 206M and Pr 12412 alongside it so i might look into putting it in a 4.0 line up like you suggested in your other video on this ship, im currently suffering through playing it without the RBU-6000 which is a rank 4 mod so itll become much more potent when i get those, dev blog season has started for the end of year update so lets see if we get more high tier coastal machines like these

Beautiful ship and fairly fun to use. Though you really have to pick your targets. I would play her at 4.0 with Yenot. Just until you get RBU at least. It took a fair amount of time for me to reach that point. Hence why the review took so long to come out. No tests drives for this boy 🤣

Splendid work commandant, The retro vibes work well for these videos, (Vid idea: thoughts you ever done a video on the Köln class Frigate?) I've found a 3 round burst and 3-5 second pause is good with keeping ammunition stocks high with the AK-726 as 152 shells is a poxy amount but IRL I wouldn't expect a corvette to survive long in a prolong engagement with a gun destroyer, Still 53 shells of HE-VT/ 99 shells of HE shells is my load out with one shell being wasted apon switching to HE if you run dry an go to a cap you don't start reloading HE shells and instead start reloading HE-VT shells. The inability to reload the AK-630 is a real downside to this thing as it would make it mean in long battles yet this trait is shared with the Pr.1241.2 sadly although it's strange it has a reload skill so why even if it cannot reload lol. Only a few maps work with this ship and unfortunately cannot be used on "boat" maps due being called a frigate by the devs yet it's laughable amongst other corvette sized vessels in that others are called subchasers even without ASW armament an "can" get those maps. Yet not having a small craft spawn sucks especially since the Minensuchboots (aka Minencuntboats) still have such a spawn which conventional weapons won't effect (honestly how the hell after four bloody years do such vessels still have such a spawn???). Still I'd say Palau Islands is a great map for it as it forces a confined engagement meaning you can target ships at a short range sometime sinking them from ready racks and small craft have limited life spans while aircraft if they dare approach will find only death if they fly within the islands meanwhile any cruiser that gets close shall perish in a barrage of RBU-6000's or the 40kt torps or you run up their sides and dump 3000kg of explosives next to them. btw since you seem to have more information on this corvette do you happen to know where it's exhaust is? As it's not a conventional ship in having a funnel bring smoke up amidship yet from best guesses it's dumbed through submerged ports. All in all good video an if you continue to field it we may see each other hah hah.

G'day Winnie, It's an interesting ship and you CAN make it a potent weapon. Like you said it's highly dependant on map selection AND Battle rating. If you tru and play it with the other soviet 4.3 then it's a worse time. In my view it's the creme of a 4.0 lineup rather than a support for 4.3. The exhaust ports sit amidships at the water line. I'm not sure how much this affected their ASW ability. I'm sure the noise was probably filtered out. The other soviet Corvettes share a similar exhaust layout iirc. As for the Koln I have made a video about her AND Frigates as a whole. I'm pretty sure you've seen it. If not let me know what you think.

Tacoma class Frigate USS Hoquiam PF-5 if you have it maybe give us the playerbase a run down on it heh. Arighty then I'll look around the midship for the exhausts later on and yes it being 4.0 is alright but your lineup is around Pr.50's and the Pr.30 along with what other 4.0's there's as sticking it in a 4.3 is meh, Ironically I feel sorry for 3.0 aircraft lol meeting an AK-630 hah hah aaaarhh.
