Hey a few things I realized after uploading this: 1. I failed to mention that this has been a stream discussion over the past few days, where people are split. Some people believe Corvus is good, whereas many others think he's not worth ranking in 2024, hence the underrated title. 2. I was speaking a little too casually about 7-star Rank 4s. I think Rank 3s will be the top for longer than I said, but the point of rank 3s becoming more available still stands. 3. When talking damage calculations, I meant to show Hulk as an example as to why Attack is not enough alone usually. Hulk gains 15 furies, but he doesn't pop off until he gets a different damage multiplier of reducing physical resistance. Many champs work this way, it's just that Corvus's main multiplier is via crit, whereas other champs are via prowess, or armor break, etc. It's basically multiplication vs addition. Addition is just pure attack value and needs to be MUCH higher to yield the same result as these other multipliers. And because attack can be increased through more ways than most variables (boosts, etc.), having the other multipliers in the champions kit is often more valuable than pure attack alone.

@rinoxpfitness9084 strictly speaking 130 mil isn't infinite gold. But practically speaking, it is because you'll never spend all of that before your typical gold gain covers for it. I only had 110 million gold after the Deadpool event and never mind spending all of it, I'm having trouble getting below 100 million.

@@orangejuice1418 you can make argument that infinite in terms of gold you will never run out. That may be true for some players but not for everybody. I have spent like 30 million in like one level up event. Do that 4 times you are down to 10 million.

Corvus is a very unique champion… i have a rank 4 six star and i hate using him and i have to use him all the time. I don’t want to take him to rank 5 but he’s a champ that DEMANDS to be at max rank or you’re gonna make life harder on yourself.

Why would you "have to use him" all the time? There hasn't been a single piece of content come out in....3 plus years he's meta for. Even this incursions, BG might be on his wagon, but there are several champions better suited to be ranked if you don't have the 7 star.

@@tekepenguin1981 I’m lane 3 in war where all 4 of the fights are “if they have an armor up… you die” so Corvus is the best counter for many of the usual suspects on that lane (Viv vision, red skull etc)

I havw a 68* R5 Ascended Corvus. I also run suicides and since he's bleed and Shock immune the normal suicide penalties don't aplly. He has 58,731 health and a whopping 8,489 attack. with only 10 sigs. Once I get a mission or two or three his crit ratings just go right through the roof. Add that to his constant armour break jusyt bloody shread. 25k mediums and 18k lights but then you get into his sp2 and its Boom Boom, Out Go The Lights! LOL Corvus is my goto for questing and especially AW... I lurves him

To be honest, I did a 8 million damage hit on incursions with the same hacks combo, not so much build up, with just a Kushala (no cruelty charges/buffs). The big damage is general from the nodes, not due to what champion is being used especifically, like Corvus

Exactly... but noooo corvus has guaranteed crits so the fight takes 11 hits not 15. Big deal lol. Is it really worth ranking a champ for a couple less hits?

@@victor-hx4vo The fight takes only 10 hits for both Corvus and any other champion, actually. You just have to build up some of the charges and land a single hit, instant win. The crit I mention was 8 million, but a no crit with the same build up was 2 million I believe which is still enough to one-shot an incursion boss

I'm very happy for you both in being able to take advantage of these nodes without Corvus. It's a super busted combo, and is the reason I took the time to break down how they work together at the start of the video. But the reality is, many players are looking for help in clearing Zone 25 incursions. If you don't need help, awesome. But Corvus was a near cheat code helping accelerate players' progression for years. I'm not going to ignore that just because a smaller percentage of players can do it without him.

@@ContestChampion I'm not necessarily trying to counter your point in any way, just to be clear. All I'm stating, is that Corvus will perform "exactly" the same as any other champion, in this scenario. You build up charges, give the 10th hit and is done. The ammount of build up is not more or less, is the same. So pretty much what I'm saying is that Corvus isn't necessarily what changes anything here. The only thing he has to offer (aside from the dot potency reduction) is just that the hit will be a guaranteed critical, and thats it. I gave my example with Kushala, which she did more damage than this Corvus in the same scenario, same build up.

No champs damage scales as directly and obviously as corvus's does. If you're looking for damage and speed, the highest rank is best. Especially if you are in a situation where you need to kill before your crits run out, for example, the first fight of a war and bgs.

@@dukie-gf9ek Corvus will never be a meta BG or AW champ as there are way too many top tier cosmics. This whole discussion was Corvus vs Omega Red to take to r3. OR is 100% the better champ and option to r3. BG's whole reason to r3 Corvus over OR is because of these Incursions that can be done with a r2 Corvus.

@@RagamuffinGunner-xj9bb I don't know, they both are tied. Both are suicide reliant imo. An OP part of corvus's kit is the automatic access to armor break. It's becoming more and more rare. Also, there are several parts of his kit that are obviously OP, especially when he regens the bleed with suicides. Omega Red is very OP as well. OR gets a big thumbs down by need of sig/high sig.

Totally agree. Waste of resources. I have a 7 star duped rank 3 corvus. Regardless 6star Corvus not worth the resources since the 7star is out. Eventually we all will have one.

It's bizarre to me that you're complaining about ascending Corvus, when allowing players agency to mitigate RNG and higher starred champion scarcity is the whole point of ascension. You choose what champ you'll ascend. Or you wait to avoid ascending a champ you're going to get anyway. It's the same deal as awakening gems. Another means to mitigate the punishment of being on the bleeding edge of the game's progression. It's your choice. Embrace it as a way to make your set of Champions more functional.
