Such a great reaction! This song is so beautiful.💜 I don't know how he did it, but he somehow made both versions of the song different but equally beautiful. I would definitely recommend My Heart Will Go On and The Sound of Silence, Tattoo is awesome, and Fall On Me, a duet with Joey, is absolutely beautiful. But really, all his songs are fantastic. 🥰 Thanks so much for your reaction, I really enjoyed it. ☺️

Have you heard the version by Dan Vasc?

You see, there is a reason that I said in another comment that I love both of his covers of this song. The first one breaks my heart everytime I hear it. This one fills my soul up with the fealings that it brings with it. I cry everytime I listen to either one. Corvyx has other songs that bring out strong emotions in me, and I am always surprised at the ones that do. They're never (or hardly ever) the ones I expect. I support this artist in everything he wants to do. And as for you young man...keep being yourself. I adore you and your reactions.❤😂❤️👏🤗❤️🐉🖤

This is incredible. It was just the right mix of haunting and...I don't know if this is the right word...but hopeful. This was just amazing. I really hope we get more Corvyx on the channel too... Thank you Kevin for this wonderful suggestion (well, both of them!) and I'm so glad you brought Corvyx in front of DJ more...just phenomenal choices for him. Thank you for the reaction DJ, it's wonderful to watch you lose it to something that I am mentally losing it to also. #HerdLove

Corvyx is ABSOLUTELY god tier! I've been so excited for you to listen to this one since you saw his earlier version 😄 "Like listening to a sad memory" YES that's exactly the vibe, and your comment about it being performance art even without the video is so, so accurate "I am not the vocal analysis guy, I am the loses-his-mind-and-melts-in-a-puddle-on-the-floor guy" I SNORTED at that 🤣 even so, I love how you pointed out so many interesting textures and details in the performance. Around the end, when you said it felt true, I think you just summed up what I like so much about this (and, really, all of his music) Recommendations: - Nightmare (original song with King Vagabond, Joey Dean's band as @chezgraham mentioned (who also have a KZbin channel!). vibes for days, lives in my head rent-free) - What Was I Made For? (absolutely hypnotizing, chokes me up every time. shows off more of his lower range) - Lady Gaga Mother Monster Mashup (incredible mashup, I do not understand how it hasn't gotten more attention. seamless transitions and CHOREOGRAPHY) - Into the Light (gorgeous. listen to this if you need a good cry) - Anywhere Away From Here (so many good collabs with Joey, but I think this one's my favorite after Nightmare. their harmonies in this one are otherworldly) - bonus rec: he's reimagined the visuals for his cover of Lithium, and the new video is dropping in... *checks watch* about 11 hours (to be clear, this one is a new video only, the vocal is the same as the one already on the channel) Thank you so much for doing this reaction, and supporting smaller artists in general (you've also reacted to Halocene and Sub-Radio? Like, do you know all my favorites or something?). I love your vibes and I love how genuine your videos feel and I hope you keep doing your thing 💜

This is why Corvyx is so important in my life. This song is incredibly powerful - both now and ten years ago. The former is sorrow & grief; the latter was pure, unadulterated pain & loss.

Thank you DJ for continuing to support Corvyx's genius. Please do check out the ones he's also done with his partner Joey Dean. They have collaborated several times check them out, Nightmare, The Night we Met, Anywhere away from Here, Fall on me, Night Crawling, Running up that Hill. Joey's voice is magnificent. You will be blown away even more, if that's possible and if you're not I'll buy you a fan, I hear you like them 😉

Hi DJ- I listened to as much as I could tolerate and then had to put it on permanent pause. Whoever this person is CAN NOT HOLD A CANDLE TO DAN VASC'S VERSION OF THIS SONG. And I seriously doubt he could come close to any of Dan's other work for that matter. They're simply not playing in the same ballpark.
@chezgraham8 ай бұрын
how rude, and completely untrue. Music is subjective and opinions vary widely. Corvyx showcases an impressive 5-octave range and delivers phenomenal performances. Similarly, Dan is a brilliant artist in his own right. Criticising one artist to praise another isn't in line with the true spirit of music and art. Each artist brings something unique to the table, and it's essential to appreciate their individual talents without disparaging others. Unfortunately, Dan and Dimash fans seem to be particularly fond of this approach, not good and you are showing your ignorance.

I am a huge fan and supporter of both Corvyx and Dan Vasc. There is no comparison because they shouldn't be compared to start with. Their styles of singing are completely their own and each should be respected.
