I was in a church 47 years ago and while this hymn was being played I saw a figure WITH MY EYES floating in the air above the altar area! He had both hands upraised and wore a shining white robe. The glory radiated from Him and filled the church! The vision lasted for several minutes and it was only after the service that I correlated the vision with the words of the song! Needless to say, it was a life transforming experience!

Most people have that one trick that they gone kill’em with. I feel like he doesn’t have that but he just does what he feels at that moment. Doesn’t feel like he’s trying to fit his latest trick in or trying to set it up to do his latest trick. It doesn’t seem forced or pre meditated. Dude is a one of a kind.

Anyone know why this organ/Leslie have that sound (new caps, modifications)? Other than this I've only heard 4 organs have that crisp sharp tremolo (one live (A-102/145) the other being the power b sample from Roland, and the rest via recording). I thought it was only capable from the A-100/145! I have this same set up (B3/145), but it only sounds typical. I WANT THAT SOUND! I know it's not just removing the deflectors & using chorus 3.
@TheCallmety27 жыл бұрын
Its not a 771 looks like a 145 the half size leslie ( O MY ) .. Since the organ is coming through the PA the system may be giving it a lil extra kick in the sound .. It also depends on the person playing .. It does have reverb but that may be the PA also .. Maybe Corey will come on and tell us the real deal one day ;-]
@Hammondfreak7 жыл бұрын
If you get really close to the Leslie it sounds different from the distant sound. When the mikes are close to the horn it picks up more ambiance from the multiple reflections inside the cabinet. The PA system can also affect the sound by boosting the high frequencies and the bass. I wouldn't remove the diffusers from the horn because this changes the character of the sound. You need to overdrive the Leslie and Cory Henry uses this so well in addition to complex power chords which sound amazing on the B3. The reverb is important as well as is the use of the swell pedal to get that shout and scream in the upper register. It always sounds better in a Church or large hall.
@MarkJPerry6 жыл бұрын
Might be new valves/tubes.. they can sound a bit lifeless as they age, or a solid state amp in the chain somewhere.. also there is a tiny pot (at least in the back of an L100) where you can up the dirt in the sound at the expense of top end clarity.. so many variables.. glorious when it all comes together!!!

He’s playing bass pedals on this song you may need to put headphones on to hear them. They have some tech out now to make the organs have more bass like plugging up a sub to the organ via a jack. They also have a new 300 wat Leslie the 918 that gives more bass.
