I also play the organ however I was brought up listening to church music in Scotland - Man you should hear the organs there! Drone drone, bum note, drone drone bum note etc. and everyone is sooooo serious and po-faced. Gospel music (and the resulting musicianship) is one thing the US can do better than any other county!

Its spirit. Gospel music is the soul converted to sound. and it's the artist expressing their love for God/TMH. idk your spritual stance, but your talents and gifts change with God in your life. It's just the truth, an easy truth anyone can discover. thats why NO genre will ever compare to American (especially black) gospel.
