When Corey and the Wong Notes played in NoCal on Thursday in Oakland, they rocked the house from the start. I mean really rocked it, slapped us silly, and we gave the energy right back and I think the mutual feedback kept the place energized the entire show. Crazy. The solos were great; the trombone player's was especially notable. If you go to a show, give it up for them - throughout. They were having a blast.

Although I may be overstating my feelings, but when I hear Cory and the guys I hear an amalgamation of Chuck Mangione, Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny and Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, Jaco, Jan Garbarek, Stanley Clarke, Miles Davis, Jean-Luc Ponty, Maynard Ferguson, William Conti, and, Frank Zappa all wrapped into one great big sound!! All those stars were the innovators of my youth. They invented and made old sounds come alive. Cory, just knocks it out of the park every time!!!

Vos silences humbles , l'enjeu d'un Solo du Batteur pour la Playliste Live , bien placer pour la naissance, de dette Bass qui vous aura toujours manquer et c'est ainsi que jeune , on apprend à maîtriser l'instrument qui devient UN immédiat et sais jouer pour lui , pour l'autre et les autres puis pour lui ; et tant encore , d'accords de ce qui est 'Funk' et pour tous ceux qui aiment vos arrangements que je ne sais pas plus écrire que l'orthographe français, sûrement, , mais que voulez-vous, ici je m'y essai avec le plaisir tout frais de ce Live. They just missed us. They were in Portland last weekend and kicked myself for not staying over an extra night to see them live. Hot take the only part of the show I genuinely dislike is Monica Martin's voice on basically all of this. She might have made it hard to want to see some of those songs live.
