That's interesting and a great recipe for someone who doesn't want to use sodium/potassium hydroxides. The cost though would be a touch expensive I think for hand soap. I'd love to see how you would make a liquid recipe using lye. I've been wanting to do that for quite some time but never seem to get a chance with other things coming up. My day job sure does get in the way! 😂

Totally get it! I will have to formulate a hand soap with KOH now. Indeed it would be even less expensive than this formula. Although, I do find this one heavenly! I do have several liquid soap recipes using KOH just not specifically hand soap.

Yes, it can be a hard one to find. You can use more cocamidopropyl Betaine in it's place.

Yes you can, you may want to check ph if you opt to use coco glucoside as it has a higher ph. You can reduce the ph with a little citric acid

Those ingredients (alkyl glycosides) have been singled out by dermatologists as allergen of the year! Same deficiency applies to coco betaine! But that doesn’t stop her from promoting them!!!
