@René I would be seriously surprised if he doesn't bring his own laptop into the studio since it would be simpler than transferring tons of files and concern over what VST instruments / effects would be identical. Having a home studio of my own, and given the name, I'd go easily with it being his laptop since you only need to plug in a USB audio interface and HDMI to the monitor.

Altough i'm quite sad to not have witnessed the 60s or 70s music wise I'm so happy to live in this time of musicship. One of the greatest guitarist of our time sharing his knowledge with the "common folks" is such a honor to witness and to be part of. And he's not the only one doing that, see Jacob Collier or Jack Stratton or many others who are humble enough to share their knowledge, it's such a beautiful time for music in this aspect.

Great song! Thanks for making this video. Really cool to see how it all came together. Chris Thile is so damn good. I am still bitter that he brought "Live from here" to New York, but I also understand why. Some of the best live performances I've ever seen were "Live from Here" tapings at the Fitzgerald. Had chills and tears all in one episode. Will miss that show so much.

Cory, I love this!! What a great song. Just today, I was listening to this with my kids, in the car, on BLUETOOTH, on our way home from COSTCO. They were digging it, but one funny thing about them is they get hung up on instrumental songs and why they don't have "words" as they say. Today, my oldest (8 years old) was wondering how you came up with the title of the song when there aren't any words. Could you shed any light on why this is called Bluebird, so I can get an answer to him? Love the song, love the look behind the scenes of how you made it. So great.

I have a guess! This track is the second track on the album Trail Songs: Dawn. The second track on Trail Songs: Dusk is a cover of Blackbird. I think Bluebird is sorta a nice Dawn-y reflection of the Dusk-ness of Blackbird (as a title and a song). Obviously I don't know for sure, I hope Cory answers!
