The National Prosecuting Authority says it is concerned about the delays in the COSAS 4 trial. Apartheid police, Christiaan Siebert Rorich and Thlomedi Ephraim Mfalapitsa are facing charges of crimes against humanity of murder and crimes against humanity of apartheid. The charges relate to the murder of Eustice 'Bimbo' Madikela, Peter "Ntshingo" Matabane and Fanyana Nhlapo, and the attempted murder of Zandisile Musi in 1982. The four anti-apartheid activists were members of the Congress of South African Students and were collectively known as the 'COSAS 4'. The matter was set down to commence on the 6th June 2024.
