Wemby is blocking 50% more shots per game than any other player in the NBA. He's eighth in the league in rebounds per game. He's fourteenth in the league in steals per game. He leads all rookies in those categories, and is also scoring four PPG more than any other rookie. He's committing too many turnovers and still needs a little time to find his shot, but to do all of that as a 20-year-old on one of the worst teams in the NBA in under 30 MPG... I mean, it's unbelievable. He is as exceptional as advertised, and that was an incredible amount of hype to live up to.
@slimemonster03812 ай бұрын
The thing is, he’s even starting to fix some of those caveats this season. In the previous 40 games, his fg% and 3pt % are 48% and 35% respectively, both very solid numbers. His season percentages are obviously lower because he wasn’t as good at the beginning, but he’s already figuring it out

Next year most likely number 1 in MVP. Why? Nobody is as VALUABLE as Wemby. His impact on a team is INSANE, both on the defensive and offensive end. We might be looking at the future GOAT here. And by that I mean an indisputable GOAT. He's got the right mentality: humble, down to earth, respectful, unlike many of these new american players. No, don't talk about the "future" or his "future potential". The "future" is now. What we are witnessing is historic. I shudder when I imagine what would happen to the league if Wemby had The Hook Shot in his bag.

I like how many of these are the Spurs running the "Fuck it, toss it up, Wemby out there somewhere" play.

If this man can stay healthy he will be one of the greatest basketball players ever. It's always hard to call it so early, but we'll definitely still be talking about him for years to come.

This guy barely has to jump for anything I can never get used to seeing it happen LOL

Dude already has a video dedicated to him. Goes to show how well he’s been on his 1ST season 🔥 😳 😱

He will be the goat 🐐 if healthy. The sheer amount of skills he possesses at that age and body type is unbelievable. And he seems to be a nice humble dude as well.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m not a huge basketball fan, but I am SOOO insanely excited to watch Wemby’s career play out over the next decade. Barring injury or negligence on the spurs part, shits gonna be unfathomable. Looking forward to his Giannis transformation come year 3-4:-))))

I was so worried for this kid's legs considering how tall he is, but after seeing some of this throughout the season, it looks like he's got a good shot after all. Just have to make sure to take care of him so hopefully he'll have a long career and rise up the ranks of all time blockers.
