Full court sprints but they get increasingly faster

To calculate the players’ speeds in miles per hour (MPH), I used the following method: First, I measured the distance the player ran using a court distance calculator, starting from the beginning of their sprint and ending at the end of their sprint. Then, I timed their sprint using a stopwatch. By dividing the distance by the time, I obtained the speed in feet per second, which I then converted to MPH.

@@FabDino John Wall maintained finesse that no one else has at those speeds. Westbrook just uses the momentum to jump 40+ inches over anyone who tries to block his dunk, no finesse needed. @@369pendulumthey aren’t being tracked, and NBA court is 94 feet (I think). Speed=Distsnce/time. We now the distance, and we can measure the time from baseline to baseline, this in probably how he’s calculating the speed. That’s why it says “average”. If you covered the court in 3 seconds, you’d be going roughly 30ft per second, or about 21 mph. They cover it in about 3.5 on every clip, which is right around 17 mph. It’s probably not super accurate, but it gives an idea.

LeBron was a fucking freak in his early Cavs and Heat days. Most players have a deficiency somewhere in their physical attributes. Not him. He was an insanely powerful runner, incredibly strong, and had a leap to make his defenders weep. I hate that we get bogged down in comparisons to Kobe or MJ or whoever else. This man is, or was, a fucking awesome physical specimen, can we just appreciate it without the negativity or downplaying

been watching for over 35 years and hes the best pure athlete ive ever seen on the court. I was next to him at a bar once and hes every bit of 6'5" and shoulders looked 4 ft wide. I wonder what he would have been like as an NFL WR or TE, prob faster than Moss too.

@@Crazyhorrseand 35 best pure athlete you’ve seen on the court huh? That means you were alive to watch Jordan, shaq, lebron, and many more and he’s not more athletic than those 3

@@Nocing Jordan has a better vert, prob better long and broad jump too not by much. I doubt there's another athletic test he could beat Russ in from shuttle runs to 100m sprint. Now skills is another story, and you might be confusing skills with athleticism. Lebron could be him at getting shut down in the entire series of an NBA finals by a 6'1 guard off the bench and getting outscored by the same guy against Dallas. Le bum does have that on lockdown.
