My brother slept at the foot of my parents bed at 24 years of age. He was in rehab and desperately needed to have their presence to reassure him. He would have night terrors as well. So a 24 year old man sleeping at the foot of his 65 year old parents' bed. It was so kind and lovely and perfect.

You guys do not worry about what anyone else says. It is your home your family. If Co sleeping is the way that your family comes together the best then that is the way it needs to be. I completely see her point of not being able to hear things when she is sleeping and especially the fact that it makes it easier for her to be able to see Mom and Dad to know that she is safe. Even before she started losing her hearing like Dad just said he was gone a lot so the baby slept with Mama. Now the family sleeps together then so be it. It has become a routine so shall it continue to be a routine. Sometimes the world doesn't understand how the world used to truly be.

We co-sleep with our kids (3&5) and I know I'm going to miss it SO much when they decide they are ready for their own rooms. I had horrible post partum anxiety after our oldest was taken away from us to go to the NICU after he was born and it changed my mindset completely on where and how we should all sleep. We love our cozy family bedroom and I absolutely would not change it. It gives me peace of mind knowing we are all together and everyone is safe. Most of our family thinks we are so weird for co sleeping but yet most of our friends have co slept with their kids at some point so to us it feels quite normal. Either way we really don't care what anyone thinks because the four of us are so happy together and we all sleep best this way.

My parents raised my two brothers and I in a family bed. When we were old enough to become more independent we got our own rooms but I am always grateful for the safe loving caring family feeling of being able to sleep with my parents when I was young. It’s part of the reason I have such a close relationship with my parents as an adult.

You two are amazing parents and people in general. Your girls are fortunate to have you. Co sleeping should not even be an issue. Do what is best for your family dynamic. We have three daughters with autism. One of them loves sleeping in her own room alone. The other two can't sleep without mom or dad. The two youngest are 10 and 9. I do not care if it bothers anyone else. You're doing things exactly the way you need to!

Me and my family coslept when I was growing up. Talk about feeling secure! I had to get used to my own bed when I was 9 or 10. Sometimes, after that, we would drag the mattresses into the living room, pop popcorn, watch movies then cosleep in there. I personally don't care what anyone thinks. The men in my family aren't weirdos so we never had to worry about cosleeping being weird. Just saying. 😁

Back in the 70's I don't even think co-sleeping was a label yet, instead they would associate it with being a "hippie" thing to do. I had a friend, they were a family (7bio kids and always a few extra lost waifs 😁) of "co-sleepers" they had a room with 4 huge mattresses wall to wall.. coolest thing I ever saw.. loved being invited to sleepovers.. so much peace, positivity and love in that family.. I had to sleep in my parents room out of necessity.. I have no regrets. Y'all keep on keeping on.. for those that criticize, lable or feel personally offended, say a prayer they can rid their lives of such negativity so they can focus on the positivity that will bring peace to ones lives.. ☮️🤗💚

All parents will be different in ways they raise their children. I completely understand the co-sleeping. My 3 and a half year old still sleeps in our bed, when he was "younger" during the transition from crib to toddler bed, he would have intense night terrors, and the ONLY way he'd calm down and fall back asleep was in our bed, Safety and Comfort and I will always provide that for my kids, at Any age. Big fan of your page. Keep the Vids coming....The fact that people commented on your Co-Sleeping...None of their business. You do you!!!

Trust Me when I tell you, My daughter pretty much slept in my bed til she was close to 15 or 16. My son was much younger when he stopped sleeping in my bed… The loss of their father at toddler and infant ages, they needed to feel safe & secure sleeping, until they did!! No doctor, no specialist, no therapist, would have disagreed with the way things happened. Today, they are very well established, very secure, people.

I get it. I have very bad vision. I can't see anything without my glasses. When I was younger my parents made me take off my glasses to go to sleep. I was one of 4 kids and glasses are expensive, I get it. Now that I buy my own I sleep in them. I hate waking up in the middle of the night and not only is it dark but everything is a blur. I hate it, I feel very vulnerable when I can't see. So I can totally understand why she doesn't want to be alone at night. It's no one elses business and you guys should do what works best for your family. 💜

It’s no one else’s business what your sleeping arrangements are. If it make y’all feel safe, do it. You do you.

Co-sleeping was normal in our house until our boys decided they wanted to sleep in their own rooms. They were both 14 when this happened. We don’t make excuses or hide it to anyone. I am so happy that you do what is the best for your family also.

My son slept in his own bed from day 1. My husband and I are both light sleepers. It’s worked for us. I actually sleep trained him at 4wks, though he naturally started sleeping through the night. My sister on the other hand and her children along w her husband co sleep with their girls they are 7 and 5. Everyone is different and I don’t think either way is wrong as long as everyone gets sleep and are healthy and happy.

My best friend always slept in her parents bed. I think she finally stopped when she got married and moved out. It’s super normal to so many people. Many people don’t do it, but so many do. No big deal.

I applaud y'all for co-sleeping. There are too many parents that could care less about their children. I often times co-sleep with my granddaughter unless she wants her crib. Y'all do you and don't worry about all the people that have no clue about your family dynamics.

My 14 year old randomly sleeps in my room, he mainly sleeps in his own room but sometimes I think he misses the comfort of co-sleeping. Sometimes I prefer it especially when it's allergy season because his turbinates get so swollen he gets obstructive sleep apnea & I like to monitor his breathing when his seasonal allergies are bad. Every parent has their own reasons for co-sleeping & shouldn't be shamed for it.

I know of a few families who co-sleep. It’s a comfort thing for both the parents and the children. Whatever works!!

What ever it takes to allow your child to feel safe and sleep peacefully is what any parent should do. She is still so young and like you said yourself, she is gaining her own independence. Keep keeping your faith held high.
