Great video! I just finished Words of Radiance, and I liked Way of Kings better as well.

I’ve found I have an odd Sanderson ranking. I actually really liked Era 2 of Mistborn maybe slightly more than era 1. I think I have WoR as my top SA book followed by WoK, RoW and Oathbringer. I recently tried reading Warbreaker and got about 1/3 of the way before giving up (I’ll try again later I’m sure)

I found the first 3 quarters to be an enjoyable slog lol but the ending is so very good I recommend finishing!

Damn, war breaker for me had me from the prologue. I loved the characters and the world building and politics so much.

I like your ranking overall. I hated Warbreaker - don't understand why people love it so much. WoR is the consensus best SA book - it has the best pacing out of them all.

Warbreaker has my heart! One of my all time favourite Cosmere book and in general fave books😊and The Stormlight archive is on par with Warbreaker! I’ve been contemplating whether to read Yumi and the nightmare painter and Sunlit man as Tress and the emerald sea was one of my least enjoyed books

I haven’t read Sunlit Man but I’d say Yumi is well worth reading. It’s similar to Tress in the sense that it’s also narrated by Hoid (although his voice isn’t as overt) and it has some romance in it, but it feels much more like traditional Sanderson to me. I’d actually most liken it to Warbreaker out of all his books, so you may enjoy it

@@caleblikesbooks thank you! I’ll give it a go

finished words of radiance a few days ago. while it has just so many great moments, it was almost too fast paced for a book so large. way of kings also impacted me greatly on a personal level. kaladin’s struggle with depression, the fact that he had to make the choice to continue on every day, dalinar’s changing understanding of leadership and duty, trying to heal the wounds he helped create, and shallan’s journey into scholarship, the thrill of pursuing her passion. and the climax just had me literally jumping out of my chair and yelling. i will honestly be surprised if another cosmere book will have the same effect on me.

can't agree fully, first half was too slow, second too fast.
