All our patients are writing down their clicks so they always exactly know their current lengthening distance. Clicking is done by a rotation in the knee joint or ankle joint. You will learn how to do it during the hospital stay. You will start to click about one week after surgery.

INProcess.. for 5 cm of lengthening I wouldn’t worry about proportions. Nobody will notice anything. I have a friend who never did leg lengthening, but his legs are very long for his height, and he looks fine. Lengthening both bones is usually for people trying to lengthen more than 10 cm

9 inches is a lot. You have to see if your proportions will still look good when you plan to lengthen such a big distance. We did it in some cases of short stature but over a time frame of 2-3 years. Lengthening of such distances needs time for muscle, nerve and vessels stretching

The answer is impossible. My situation is as same as you, 5feet 3inch. I used to collect the information from limb lengthning forum. In most cases, people can undertake ≤10centimeters. For the your lower leg, the acceptable extension is up to 5 cm. The thigh can have a little bit higher extension than 5. So 10cm, is a good improvement for you. If you lengthen your legs too much, this not only greatly hurt your health, but also you limbs look like very disproportionate.
