Common sense ought to tell you that if something is wrong with your eye, you not only go to the doctor right away, but you don't wear makeup on that eye. No shadow, no mascara, no liner, no glitter, no nothing. If it took her three days to go to a doctor and she kept wearing makeup the whole time, it must not have been that terrible an injury. I get dry eyes too sometimes. I use eye drops. I don't sue someone.

Totally bogus claim. What a shame that the defendant didn't counterclaim.

When I had a bout of conjunctivitis, never having had it before, I rushed to the ER and they sorted me out with a self-care routine. I was tearing so badly out of the bad eye that it was impossible to even think of applying makeup. My entire eye was swollen and affected. Took about a week to regain normalcy. This lady is nuts. Full make up asking for a payday

I was sprayed in the eye, but I could clearly see the bottle the person sprayed because they brought it over to me, but then ran away. Then I worked for three more days, rinsing my eye before ever going to a Dr. butBut continued to wear makeup. Then I had to use eye drops, but i never payed out of pocket for anything. 😂😂😂

In the after-case interview (not shown here), the defendant said she left the manager of her department (her witness) in charge of the cosmetics table while she went to the rest room - plaintiff (who had no witnesses) said no one is supposed to leave the table unattended (witness said she was watching it while defendant was away for that brief period and also got her front-end supervisor to file a report - a detail the plaintiff left out). Defendant also mentioned "if she (plaintiff) was truly injured and there was anything in my products that could have done that I would have taken care of her immediately". Conclusion: defendant is not liable for any damages the plaintiff is suing for.😇

The Serve Safe Law she is referring to deals with FOOD, not products such as skincare products. Number two, if her eye was bothering her so much, why did she continue to use makeup and not go to the doctor as soon as she could? Lastly, a chemical in your eye probably doesn’t cause dry eyes. I have dry eyes and have drops for it. No chemical has been sprayed in my eye. All Judge Judy wanted was something that stated I am prescribing eye drops for dry eyes that was caused by a toxic chemical being sprayed into the eye. Even when you submit paperwork for accident insurance claims, etc. you have to have a statement like that to make the correlation.

Why did the plaintiff wait three days after the incident to go to the doctor? If it were me, I would've gotten the name of the product, called my employer informing them that I got injured on the job and go straight to the doctor. If you don't know what substance was sprayed in your eye, I wouldn't try to flush it out of my eye and wait three days. You don't know what chemical penetrated your eye. When the report didn't show that the spray was the initial cause, and the doctor just prescribed eye drops for the plaintiff, that's a clue that she is conveniently trying to get money out of the defendant. Give me a break! 😝😝😝
