The spider bracelet looks like it was 80's - 90's. In the 90's I worked at a goth/occult store and we had similar, we also sold victorian style poison rings, but we would put lip balm or lip stick into them, one I even put solid perfume in. All of these were fabulous, can I request an earring tour one day? I'm always enthralled by your earrings and imagine your collection is museum worthy.

@@erinparsonsmakeup The 2008 "golden dior" necklace with a radiance powder inside you showed is a particular favourite as it's a beautiful bronze and gold gem locket but the sparkly orb I think from 2006 is also to die for. I've also picked up a few of the YS "lip twins" which were hidden lipstick ornaments that had a mirror, sparkle gloss and cream lipstick plus the YSL logo detached and is a hidden makeup brush ! Super fun era of makeup that I miss dearly.

@@erinparsonsmakeupthe blue accented large ring or the “Dior princess ring” was from 2005. galliano did a few other jewelry pieces, that were hidden makeup/ compartment. 2003 had the “street chic bracelet compact”, 2004 had a dice necklace “Dior play”. Thank-you for such a comprehensive trip through makeup eras! I grew up with Fashion Two Twenty and Avon, my mom being a seller of both. And both companies sold some fashion jewellery that had hidden compartments with solid perfume or lipbalm in it. Nothing as luxurious as some of these examples you show but still very whimsical. Also, you worked at MAC the same time that i did! Do you remember their first perfume oils that came in glass vials? Not makeup, but still as a modern concept, quite unusual because they made an "amulet" that you could wear as a necklace, and place your oil vial in it. I miss those fragrances! I still have a tiny drop or two of my favorite one that i wear on special occasions 😊 Thanks for all the intelligent, informative and pretty videos!

I can not find anything online within my price range but honestly...I got fed up and started to research and design. To bad I'm poor, I would love to start a company of silver hidden makeup jewelry! I did a design of a necklace and earrings set...earrings are scent diffusers, and the necklace has a lipstick pull out and an eyeshadow! Even if nothing comes of it, it is so much fun to think up and design the ideas!

Now I'm over here fantasizing about you and Lisa Eldridge having a vintage makeup show and tell 😍🔥 I love the craftsmanship that went into these pieces. I appreciate how special they were to the people who owned and used them. It reminds me of being an adolescent first getting into makeup, owning one eyeshadow duo, one mascara, one lip gloss, etc. and cherishing them. Rampant consumption is tiring, and I wouldn't mind if more brands created these beautiful makeup works of art again that are designed to be kept for years and refilled. Thankfully, we no longer have to be discreet about makeup, but the pieces are still beautiful.

What an amazing collection...it went on and wonderfully on! The only hidden makeup jewellery I've had was a Marc Jacob's daisy shaped pendant necklace which on closer inspection swiveled open revealing solid scent inside 😮 It was such a thrilling surprise as I'd bought it from a charity shop just thinking it was jewellery! Thank you for your art, time and commitment. Keep on collecting! Julia 😘

I remember the cutest knecklace I had from Avon I think. It was a fragrance line from Fergie (she sang with the black eyed peas). The knecklace pendant opened with a solid fragrance. I loved it back then.

11:51 I love all of these pieces so far! Absolutely incredible. Im thrilled that you're so tender with each one. They're where they need to be and i feel they found their way to you with purpose! Im curious to know, have you ever experienced paranormal activities? Often times, collectors have had some type of unexplained encounter whilst having vintage and older items in their home.

I used to watch this show years ago on PBS called Antique Roadshow. These people would bring in some items that had history in the hopes that they'd find out the items very of great value. And in the process the viewers would learn about the history of that particular item. This channel is kinda like that with the exception that every item is of value. I love finding out the history behind each item. I also love the attention to detail that was put into each piece. That perfume locket with the rose detail is so far my favorite. But I also adore the bracelets that were made for Josephine Baker. They are both beautiful and functional. And congratulations on your move. I hope that you like your new space. Btw, the makeup you are wearing is stunning. You look gorgeous. I call that a double wing eye makeup. And the way you did the eye shadow on the upper eyelids and the outer part of the lower eye area just sets the whole look off. If you can't tell it I'm a huge fan of attention to detail. And you just consistently come through with it.

Ooooo my Goddess! This disabled wheelchair bound woman is In love with these!!!I almost did a backflip in her throne! You're an amazing make-up artist woman! Love all these!! You're motivating this fan of your art! And- SO HAPPY IK THAT THESE AND other TREASURES ARE SAFE! YOU'VE been GUARDING THESE pieces of EVIDENCE. That there was a time of LADIES AND GENTLEMEN ❤. Our World keeps speeding up and the time left to put on our face seems to be dwindling! Went from 2 hours to 20 mins when my X started to demand more time. Which was less for my much needed time and efforts. I am so happy that I found you! Such an inspiration and I can relate with you gorgeous! Muah! ❤ 15:45

I used to love my Dior hidden makeup ring hah. Later they released this stunning bracelet too with 2 lipbalms and I used it so much! It was amazing how you could just touch up your lips whenever so easily and I'm with you on not understanding why that brands don't make these anymore. They were just so fun!

The last 2 perfume bottle necklaces remind me of something I've recently made! I found a perfume bottle necklace charm at a craft store and bought a chain in a matching gold color I could put the charm onto. The bottle itself is about 3/4 of an inch tall, it's golden, and it has a little flower detail on one side of it; so if I wanted to, I could wear it with the pink/purple floral design facing out, or just the plain gold side out. It has a tiny screw-on cap and no dropper/stick. I can fit about 10 drops of perfume inside, and I just use it to touch up if they fade. I make my own essential oil fragrances, so I like to use it for those bc it's less cumbersome than a roll-on bottle in my pocket.

What a fantastic collection you have! I have a set of mouche from Estee Lauder but had no idea that they were stored in the little face charms for "lick and stick" application. The history of makeup is utterly fascinating! Thank you for showing and educating us.

I love Cruel Intentions, and I love you. Your videos really soothe me when my mental health issues threaten to overwhelm me, as they never fail to bring me back to two of my first real loves in life - makeup & its artistry, and history. I feel like I remember healthy me when I watch your videos.....because sometimes I forget about her. Thank you for that Erin. I know you probably don't see these comments or read em all bc there's so many (the amount of views let me know I'm not the only one who loves your vids!), but I just had to get it out, how much of me you sometimes heal, just by posting your vids. May nothing but prosperity & happiness come to you, Erin, always.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I never knew how creative and discreet cosmetics were back in the day. I loved watching your collections. They are amazing. I feel half bad that they have to be that discreet, but this just proves that no one can stop a woman from wearing makeup if she wants to. And I love how the powder puffs were hidden in all kinds of stuff. I love all of it.
