Beauuuutiful looks! What you were saying in the outro is exactly why I didn't pick these up! They both spoke to me, buuut I had reservations about how many looks I could really get out of cooltrals. It's basically a blue palette with some pops of purple? Have that, many times over. The nudetrals definitely piqued my interest more, however.. I just don't like their shimmer formula enough. It reminds me of the beautybay shimmers. Just okay.

Now that you mention it….it is VERY similar to the beauty bay shimmer formula. Some are definitely smoother and a better quality but the thick ones that kinda stuck to my finger are definitely like beauty bay. The mattes are much different though. The Nudetrals is worth it but the Cooltrals can be skipped.

I bought Cooltrals as my first palette from the brand, and I'm disappointed by the shimmer formula. I don't have any Beauty Bay palette (and knowing this, I won't buy one), but certain shades remind me of the shimmers in the Dollhouse palette (I give BB a pass because the mattes are +++, and I liked the color story). As I said in my comment, the pill is easier to swallow if the palette is priced lower. I wanted to pick up Muse and Gothic but I have second thoughts now. Ps: I'm harsher now because I finally tried Sydney Grace and I had to raise my expectations 😂

My main criticism is that Cooltrals is missing a cool toned brown (or 2). I feel like that would have really rounded out the palette

Nudetrals speaks to me but I'm dramatic and Cosmic Brushes doesn't give me the tropical bird impact I'm looking for.

I picked up Cooltrals during the launch and although I like it, I was disappointed because they were even more toned down than what I expected (I'm also medium deep with a neutral leaning olive undertone and I only found one person who had my skin tone and undertone reviewing the palette AFTER I bought it - Thank you @ColorfulIndian). That being said, it's a great introduction to cool tones for someone who just wants to explore it and doesn't stand on itself when it comes to the color story (at least not for someone with my skin tone or deeper). I don't regret my purchase because it helped me realize that I'm not ready (yet) to dive into the blue territory. Finally, I wouldn't say it's great for that price (I think Cosmic Brushes used to be cheaper). I would say otherwise if it was sold for 30 dollars 🤔

That's true the brand used to be cheaper but I think since they started adding multichromes the price has started creeping up. TBH I think cooltrals might be on the chopping block for a declutter at the end of the year....I'm debating if I need to keep it for content creation purposes. 🧡

@@iamjamila I completely get it! I bought some duo chromes and multi-chromes from Lethal and Glamshop recently and I use them to complement the palette. I would say give it one more chance, and if you don't like it, you're doing yourself a favor by letting it go. If it doesn't bring you joy, there's no point in keeping it 😉 PS: I watched your review again and you made them want to buy Nudetrals so thank you for taking the time to review it 😘

Tysm for this detailed video 🫶🏻 I hadn't previously heard the shimmers were difficult to work with, but I think it might be because the other content creators I follow don't usually apply shimmers with fingers. 💙I'm in the minority, I suppose, but Cooltrals has cool-toned blues, which I lack in my collection. And I thought your two cool likes were gorgeous! It's a toss up between Cooltrals or Longing right now, but perhaps the new Blend Bunny x Donidarkowitz / lilMissSheNeverMisses might be just the palette for my cool, pink undertone.
