Such a fun series, I remember my aunts reading Jilly Cooper in the eighties. Such a mental holiday. Really well cast, such full bodied characters. Can’t wait for Season 2,3,4 etc! ❤

Her books were my guilty pleasure in the 80’s so I’m loving this! David Tennant is perfection as evil/hot Tony Baddingham, my crush continues unabated. My kids still say ‘Hello Jilly Cooper’ every time I answer the phone to them which is from an hilarious French & Saunders skit & I’m named Jill. Cannot WAIT for season 2 👍🏻🔥🔥🔥

I did not at all like Nafessa Williams's character. The writers did Cameron dirty by writing her as a typical angry black woman. I know the show is set in the 80s but they could have written her much better.

I completely agree and it’s one the only criticism I have for the show. She was such a stereotype that it was hard to watch her scenes. A bit more nuance would’ve helped.

Just No. I LOVE Aiden Turner. He is incapable of imperfection in any role, thus far, from a Vampire to a Hobbit, he's sublime but this is beneath him. HOnestly, was he on some Diddy video that was used to force him into this monstrosity? I'm 30 minutes in and forcing myself to not change this awful mess. Bad writing, bad directing, bad cinematography. David Tenant as 10 was fire; As Hamlet he was fine; not Kevin Branagh, but fine; as Tony he is Poop, and not the bathroom kind it's the sick, putrid, odious performance was crap. Alex Hassell was skeez: maybe that is what he is supposed to be but no. Just no. If you want to do an 80's well, think Halt & Catch Fire. This is more suitable for daytime soaps.

@@ashleelewis9151 No. It's soo bad. Truly Madly Deeply bad. Boring. Dumb. The writing is just cringe. Also I am fun. My mother says so. 😘😜AND I have a very diverse palette. When I love an actor & this ruins his time that show should be immediately canceled because it is beneath him. Aiden Turner is so good. Tenant has been on a downward binge since 10 & I don't want the blatant sub par mediocrity of this of this show to infect Turner.
