Nafessa says Victoria is most like her character on the show. Completely disagree. Maude was lonely, miserable, insecure, jealous and dependent on a husband and home she’s not happy with. I’d call her moments of high energy on the show strung out from feeling trapped. Victoria sounds like she’s confident, loving life and yes adventurous but the character of Maude did nothing on the show except spiral regularly oh and takes one rare trip where she rides a camel; not even a career. Maude had children yet I wouldn’t call it an adventure or anything very positive when a mother is jealous of her child. Strange choice.

Castings a bit off. Declan’s better looking than Rupert who was blond. Cameron wasn’t black and Taggie should be taller with darker hair. Caitlin and Maud are closest to how they are described in the book.

I haven't seen the show yet, nor have I read the book, I haven't had time, so I can't weigh in on that aspect. But what has me wrong is that someone who looks like Aidan is supposed to be the father of someone like the actress who plays his daughter, they look more like siblings, in the book it's supposed to be like that???? That he's a young dad?
