IF you hit Ctrl+M you will add a marker to your map, so once the system is safe, you can know where the wrecks are for looting.

FYI 1. all types of ammo are near worhless to sell and are not worth picking up if you are not using it. 2. You can right click on the harvest pickaxe icon to filter it (aka ignore ammo) 3. Generally it is better not to sell enriched uranium as you lose a lot of value by selling it, stations don't often carry it in large quantities and storing it takes up minimumal space.

As far as capacitors are concerned, its not really for making up for not having as much power generation as recommended. Its really more to reduce lag in delivery. If you have an energy consumer thats too far away it's possible that when it requests a charge it can take too long to get from the reactor to the consumer before it runs out. A capacitor close by allows a buffer that is okay if it takes a while for new energy to get there while not starving the actual consumers.

Just be careful cause I think the crew can only carry one battery from a capacitor at a time. A medium and large reactor will let them carry more batteries per trip. But it's been a while since I messed with it.

@@DFPercush Yeah I ran into this issue with a megaship, built like 8 capacitors near the edges with 2 large reactors in the middle. Turns out my crew spends so much time just hauling 3x cells to the capacitor then 1x to the individual parts that I actively run out of power just, doing anything. But putting reactors near the edges results in, well, your demise... It's time to look at ships other people have designed; I'm too dumb to min/max this stuff.

Thanks fior the gameplay. Crew work through corridors faster than storage rooms, you generally want corridors to connect source and destination components eg. power and guns.

Loving the videos man.. Got back into this gem of a game . One tip I learned especially early game, When you are doing those rescue missions on the platforms.. stay nearby and let them attack it for a couple minutes.. You let them almost kill it and come in and save the day.. You'';; be able to scavenge a whole ton of stuff before they repair

one thing i think you missed is that energy from the medium core instead of the small are worth double energy too, so literally half the hauling once you get it.

The damage to the back in the end was because some of the missiles the enemy was firing you didn't come at you straight. (Some did, but not all.)

corridors are very very important because your crew move faster than through other things like cargo bays can make or break your ship if takes too long too get energy cells too sheild or guns or thrusters its like you havent got any there no good iof they dont function and crew management is also very important especially when your ship gets bigger

I think by right-clicking the salvage button you can include/exclude types of debris to salvage when you draw your selection rectangle. You also can define the maximum number of a certain type to be stored on your ship.

FYI, even if you don't set the class of your operators, you can set the roles various preferences so they'll do Job A before Job B (so, for example, if something needs manning, they won't leave to deliver power if someone else is available)

I often target weapons first, rather than reactors or (more often) control rooms) if it doesn't have guns, it can't shoot you after all!

This series is great Quill! You mentioned that it was multiplayer (I think?) - If it is, you should do a run where you and a few of your friends are a space pirate band, I think that would be great! You could have the brussel sprout, someone else could have the Squash, the Golden Carrot etc

Huge issue is you not taking out the disruptors. I heard you say something about not having enough crew, meanwhile, your shield is getting disrupted, they bring it the power cells, it gets disrupted again. Therefore, all the power goes straight to the shield and nothing else.

You've taken on missions from both opposing factions now... Pretty sure you're meant to decide between one of the two since you'll worsen your reputation with them when you start to attack the still neutral ships. The back damage you received at the end was from the missiles.

If you blow up a ship and don’t salvage everything what happens? Can you mark the map and come back later and grab what you missed later? Do NPCs drop by and clean it up? Does it just despawn after a period of time?

is there a reason to not just drop more cargo bays when you're full and sitting on a million metal plates? Is there a penalty on deconstructing that makes it inefficient, or is quill just leaving stuff in space for no reason? As a loot hoarder, it pains me when he kills a pirate and just leaves a bunch of stuff floating there lmao

if i remember correctly, the only risk is being a lot slower and running into a roaming pirate/enemy. im pretty sure deconstructing your own ship is 100% refund for the bits you built yourself. captured ships and/or prebuilts might not give full refund in materials.

Correct, non-corridors give a 50% penalty to movement speed.

and later when your ship gets bigger can be impotant too lock them into a part of your ship so you can fit airlocks let crew enter then remove the airlock so they cant wonder off say too right thruster bank when you want them too stay feeding energy too left thruster bank or want them too feed guns on right side of your ship and not walk the full width oh your ship and back again too feed the guns on the left side of your ship

i use red shirts gunners blue shirts command gold shirts engineers move cells about also where there quarters are makes a differance they start in there quarters so if its one door too where they work thats optimal if they have to walk the full length of your ship to start work this is bad so can be beneficial to have multiple smaller quarters next too where they work and you can dedicate the quaters to a job so a qurters next to guns for your gunners a quarters next too cockpit for your command crew and qurters next too reactor for engineers so on

sadly no, however if a bit of your ship explodes right next to an enemy i do think it also deals damage to the enemy.

For the love of god, stop selling all your resources please. You pay way more to buy them back later and there is no guarantee that stations will even keep a Stockpile of every resource to enable you to build with. Just create a stationary/slow cargo barge to hold your stuff or keep at least the expensive and somewhat rarer resources (Processors, Enr. U, Hypercoils, etc.).
