@@abadonael around 16:35 is where that gets explained for each of the different aspects - note in particular about the vegetable gardens and orchards, where bigger backyards means more yield, but also more time spent working in the backyard rather than regular job. Otherwise the backyard can be as small as you'd like, though if the plot is too small, you won't be able to build a backyard extension. Sometimes that's fine - it's really a matter of what you want and need from a specific house

This was really helpful! I always have issues producing enough food after I have around 70 population... Berries and Hunting won't suffice and Wheat-Flour-Bread production won't help much. Any advice on that?

My take: Time for Import game time via the Trading post. You should have good stock piles of resources, sell off excess for regional wealth and export it passively and import food to meet demands. 🤙

@@LarzBoss I second this. You should be able to determine what resources are very stockpiled to trade so you can buy your deficits, and even have enough resources to build farmlands in time for the upcoming seasonal harvest with items and families at the ready.

From watching your play, ive fallen in love with the way this game looks. Had to buy it, lol, wondering if you have a "thats too far" point on resouces when you start. Like animals and berrys on opposite ends of the region and low land fertility. Even though the resources are "large"

Great guide! I surprised myself, I was able to figure-out most of this myself, but I still learned a few good tidbits. One thing I’m a bit disappointed in is how ‘easy’ it is to re-assign families. The longer a family is assigned to a particular job, the better they should get at it. T1 jobs are ‘simple’ enough that anyone should be able to do it, yes. So, there shouldn’t be a *penalty* for assigning a random person to a task. But there should be a *bonus* for refraining from re-assignment. Whom are going to be the better farmers? The family doing so for multiple seasons, or the family in their first season? Really hope that this gets added. If it isn’t already in-game (as some sort of ‘hidden’ mechanic) then it needs to be more quantifiable. Could even work surnames into it! ‘Smith,’ ‘Baker,’ etc. Anyways, apologies for the rant, cheers man, you got yourself a new subscriber. Really enjoyed your clear yet calm narration!

Food ends up being easy to maintain during the winter , it's fuel that burns fast. It's detrimental to start those crops in June and harvest in September because if not your forced to live off of berries and deer which at first is manageable with a low pop but after the first winter bread and other goods are a must

The extra house option you call rare, but it's up to you; if you hit the minus button to decrease total number of plots in the area, it usually means they all get a bonus house

The well seems useless. As long as you have 1 in a region, the need is fulfilled. There appears to be no reason to ever have more than 1 in a region or any other use for the well. This is something I'd like to see change soon. Homes and businesses should demand easy, nearby access to water and there should be a need to build multiple wells across the region.

It does get tricky when buildings are on fire, you would want easy access to water then, I believe the people run between the nearest well and the burning building

When you need to use it for dedicated specific work you are focusing on, yes. Else, it's a floater for whatever transport needed for constructing or transport is needed for said wood. As noted, get more than one oxen and one is for Timber, and that should resolve most thjings in your beginning game growth. AS you need more and more things transported, then you upgrade to said stable, etc.

Do you need an extra hitching point if you asign an ox to a specifick industrie? If you cant grow barley, yeah you can buy some. But if you don't buy, can your house go to lvl 3?
