"The function of art is to awaken our dormant Spiritual faculties." 🙏

This is excellent, many thanks! As a performing musician, for years now I have treated music as a spiritual discipline: developing self-awareness and self-control in service to a higher good. I detailed this in an article I wrote some years ago for The American Organist magazine, and I mention it in my philosophy of teaching statement. As a composer, I assert that we artists are like oysters: we take the irritants that enter our shells, and turn them into pearls. More than once, I have written music that grew directly from life-changing trauma; one of these pieces especially I consider to be my very best work, in terms of architectural and conceptual soundness as well as effective of dramatic and emotional expression. I have always greatly admired and enjoyed your art in particular, and look forward to experiencing more. All best wishes to you and your dear wife!

"Since we look towards the outside away from the point from which we are all joined together. We are unaware of the fact that we are one. We are like faces turned toward the outside but attached on the inside to one single head. If we could turn around then all at once we would see God, ourselves, The All." - Plotinus, 4BC

Absolutly love this!! - Creativity is our divine gift meant to be expressed for the betterment of the whole! “When we look outside of that on which we depend we ignore our unity; looking outward we see many faces; look inward and all is one head. If a man could but be turned about, he would see at once God and himself and the All.” ― Plotinus

Negativity should be dealt with responsibility. We can more easily comprehend our negativity by creating art. Afterwards we may dismantle our creation and adapt the components for a new positive use.

Holy cow, in regards to that image of Beethoven (not just here for the other classical music boi, lol), the firey hand is exactly the feeling that kinda erupts when “improvising” written music. That is so strange, does Mr Grey write music as well, or is that more of a known thing in drawn or painted art? Maybe also performance art too. That was a really inspiring message, reminds me of Pauline Oliveros

If this is something you don't agree with then why are you here? It doesn't make sense does it? You should go to places that you like and stay out of spaces that you don't. That's how I live my life because I'm not wasting my time doing anything that I don't like. Maybe you should do that too, thanks have a great life.
