My make-up advice for eyebrows if you don't want to shave them off: Try as good as possible to get near the shape you want by plucking or carefully using a razor, then when applying foundation use plenty on the eyebrows, which will makes them less visible, but still visible enough to use. Then use eye-shadow in the color you want the eyebrows to be, and use a wet angled brush to draw on the eyebrows. This works damn well for me, I have nicely super colored eyebrows in the shape I want, and after I remove the make-up I still have mostly normal looking eyebrows.

Ive heard that the nyx angel veil primer is a dupe for the hourglass one in case anyone doesn't want to pay the price for the hourglass one! I've never personally tried both so don't take my word for it, but that's just what I've heard.

Watching the last makeup tutorial and then this one is such a cool then and now! I'm so proud of how far you've come, and it's been so cool watching your videos (for like 5 years now or something omg) to see updates! 'Better Than Sex' is my ride or die mascara, and if you ever find it getting clumpy (especially on lower lashes) or leaving little black bumps underneath the eyes, I've found that a primer for the mascara really helps me out to keep it in place (even with the setting spray!) Dior has a nicer primer with a plumping effect, or even Maybelline has a 'Voluminous' primer that I've had success with! Thanks so much for this video, Nina! You make being a patron so fun and worth it every month!

Ahhh, gosh, thank you so much for sticking with me all these years~! ;A; And thank you for the product rec, I'll be sure to check out that lash primer if I ever need it! I usually only have that problem when my tube is running low but it'd be helpful for avoiding a disaster at a con xD

@carolinehope26388 жыл бұрын

@maxskellington9108 жыл бұрын
Really binding IS NOT HARD. Just buy a chest binder online, it's easy. There are like $15 dollar ones online. Just DON'T use ace bandages, they can damage your ribs and make it hard for you to breath. As a trans person I know basically everything about binding that a person would need to know, and tbh the biggest rules is to not be stupid about it. It's always much safter to buy binders then to make them, because you never know If the material you used might be damaging.

Can I just say how much I love the background music in this video?? It's so sweet and adorable! ^.^ I also love seeing how your makeup skills and techniques have developed over the years. I don't think your routine from all those years ago is bad at all (in fact I still do pretty much the exact same thing for cosplay nowadays) but I've never even thought about drawing lashes with eyeliner or anything like that before. There's always new stuff to learn!! :D
@MangoSirene8 жыл бұрын
Drawing lashes like this isn't something I'd do for *every* character, but yeah, it definitely helps when you're going for a more cartoony/anime look! Really you just want to pay attention to the way the black lines are drawn around the character's eye in your reference art, then use eyeliner to translate those black lines to your own eye shape. I hope that makes sense! xD

Hi Nina, I've been watching your videos for years and I remember watching your original cosplay makeup video! Back then I had very low self-esteem and I always WANTED to cosplay, I just didn't have the confidence. But thanks you youtubers like you I finally went out and made my own costume, and now here we are years later and I'm in this amazing community and have this weird, wonderful hobby that makes me so happy! I even uploaded my first ever KZbin video yesterday. I just wanted to say that I really love this community, it's so welcoming and encouraging and I honestly think it helped me become the person I am today! ❤️

Hourglass is also my favorite primer!! I've been living off of Sephora samples though since the actual size is so expensive >,< I'm still not brave enough to shave my eyebrows off, and like your problem, my brows are super dark and thick, so I just wax and pluck and hope for the best because there's no covering these bad boys. It's definitely great seeing how far you've come from that first makeup video!

I just have to say that I love this video! I found your channel for the very first time by watching your old make up tutorial and I loved it so much I subscribed. I watch every video you post and for me you're an inspiration when it comes to cosplaying. You've helped me so much with so many subjects and you're one of the first sources I turn to for when I need help with my own cosplaying problems. I've had my very first photoshoots just recently, even though I've been closet cosplaying at conventions for almost one year. I absolutely love this hobby and spend many hours of my time tinkering away with various materials. I hope that I can really give back to this amazing community one day and inspire others, just as you have inspired me. Even though I know I have a very long way to go, I feel confident that I'll get there one day. Thank you so much for doing this, and keep being awesome! Love ~

@MangoSirene8 жыл бұрын
Yeah, glittery/shimmery highlighter looks fantastic in person (or even on video), but camera flash can reflect *too* much light off it and actually make your skin appear greasy/oily, especially in dark con hallways. I found that out the hard way over the years. xD

The contacts that you put in are they prescription or nonprescription contact lenses because I’m trying to see if my eye doctor can order me a set of brown circle lenses for my cosplay so that way I won’t have to worry about trying to find brown circle lenses and then messing my eyes up because my eyes are so unique I want to be able to see when I go to the anime con in May

Hey! I really enjoy your videos, not only are they helpful, they're pretty fun to watch. So, I'm working on a cosplay and it would be the first time I'd do makeup, ever (obviously I'll practice before the con though, haha). I know I'm a bit late, and I'm in the same situation as you. I'm also not MangoSirene, but I would like to help out a bit. So, I don't want to really awkwardly ask my parents for makeup, so I'm doing it subtly. As for places to GET makeup, hush.com or hush (the app) seems to be working out for me so far, though I haven't made any purchases. When you sign up you get a free product of your choosing as a gift. Wish.com works too, though again, haven't made any purchases (specifically makeup, and I was quite happy with my other purchases), and Wish does take forever to ship things to you (A month or two, depending. Sometimes they will come early, but what can you expect from a Chinese website?). Working with Wish can be hard because unless you have a ton of reviews on a product, it's hard to count on the website/app to give you good stuff. With Wish its sometimes a 50/50 chance but it's usually decent stuff, considering the VERY cheap price, and you can find just about anything there but food (And I don't suggest buying clothing, just look at the Wish hauls haha, though I've seen really nice clothing). Both Wish and hush can get you things very cheap and you can try out a bunch of stuff with them because of their low priced-ness, you can also dig around the internet or KZbin for different websites, apps, and stores. Anyways, I hope I was helpful to you!

Random question... is there anything wrong with only wearing one contact? because I want to cosplay a girl with one brown and one pink eye and I'm not sure if there are really any dangers or anything like it looking weird from wearing only one contact (because I have naturally brown eyes)
@ElizaArika6 жыл бұрын
Just wearing one contact will look very weird especially since contacts are usually larger and look very different from your real iris. It'll look lopsided. It would be better to wear two contacts of different colors but the same design.

Illy Benjamin because like every anime/game character is super pale, and I've seen people do it without it looking bad and ashy, I just don't know how. Most characters don't have skin the color of a chicken nugget.

Hi,i have a lot of mole in my face ,and i have to cosplay an anime character that Dont have any mole , how can i cover them? Actualy i have a really pale skin and i can't find any foundation that can cover them 😭 P.S sorry for my bad english but i come from italy 😰
@laurelhobert39417 жыл бұрын
While I guess it's a little bit easier for me as I have freckles which are more flat to the skin than moles would be, what I've found to work quite nicely is color correcting and concealing. You can use a color wheel for help with this. A little bit of pale blue should be the opposite of brown like a mole or freckle. But make sure this is underneath your concealer and foundation or it might look a little like a bruise! For concealer, IT cosmetics has a lovely one with both a concealer and a brightener to even out tone. I hope this helps! By the way, your English is fine. I'm learning to speak Spanish and it's not easy to pick up a new one
