I think one thing McFarlane understood, is that a LOT of makers will want to repaint and upgrade the figures so it seems they made their late runs very easy to strip apart for this. I really appreciate that they did this.
@ajscorner5423 Жыл бұрын
While that is good for customisers, most consumers aren't customisers. They just want a nice decent figure. Although I'm a huge fan of mcfarlane stuff I do think they can severely improve on things such as paintjob, articulation (we don't even get a thigh swivel smh), and also more accessories like atleast give us a pair of extra hands

She turned out amazing. I will mention as a precaution to you and others, using Sharpie markers like that on figures CAN turn the ink purple over time. Gundam markers have a fine tip black that will do the same thing, but it's meant for plastic. For the snow, you could mix some of the snow flakes into the PVA glue if you wanted something a little more solid, with less chance of it flaking off.

Hi, when you say after a while, how long? I ask because I've just started using metallic sharpies to custom my figures 😕
@FamineStudios2 жыл бұрын
@@Mad_Titan_Paresh Metallic sharpies have a different makeup than the black ink sharpies.
@TheSalemCrow2 жыл бұрын
@@Mad_Titan_Paresh Metallics should be fine, it's the regular Sharpies that cause the problem. In those cases it could be a few months, or years, but I know it happens. I have a few older custom figures from when I first started that used Sharpies, and the color has changed and even bled in a few spots. If you can't fine line with a paint brush, use a Gundam marker since they are at least designed for plastic. There are even metallic Gundam marker packs if you want to avoid any potential issues at all.

Just a note. Faux is not pronounced 'fox'. It is French and pronounced 'foe', meaning fake or false. Lumiere is also French btw, meaning 'light', like the sun etc. It is pronounced, 'Loom-yair'. Not important but thought I would let you know. Amazing work as always Chris!

I used to work at a shoe company and in a meeting I was going over sales numbers for a new faux leather shoe and called it "fox" and everyone laughed at me, like how the hell am I to know how to pronounce this.

It looks great! A way to make faux snow is mixing equal parts cornstarch and foam shaving cream. It comes out great.

Yes. Faux is French for false. Pronounced like foe. I kept expecting you to put red fox fur on her. Great video otherwise.

Fascinating to watch. I've painted models, regular and table top miniatures for many years now. I've also repainted various action figures too, in 1/12 and 1/6 scale but I use acrylic paints, mostly citadel and vallejo. Very interesting to see something quite different used. I don't think I've ever seen shoe polish used before. End result looks fantastic.

Man if McFarlane just actually painted his figures like this I believe people wouldn’t mind dropping $30 to even $40 on a figure with such great details and I always see less detailed customs sell out on eBay or mercari for higher price.

Are you thinking about collecting more from McFarlane DC Multiverse to build up the comic version of the Justice League? They already made everyone, except a basic version of Wonder Woman.

Brother Chris, Awesome, Awesome job!!! Any chance of you doing a re-do on MacFarlane future state Scarecrow? That green and light orange rags and tunic he's wearing is awful. Would definitely love to see a video on that figure, gives me an idea to do mine. 🤘🏻
