Just a tip from a fellow customizer, the legs of McFarlane figures are super easy to remove with a small flathead screwdriver. Pop the legs off, and the diaper slides right off- no need for surgery!

After looking up, every dot of paint on a regular release figure cost about $0..1-$0.05 (and I mean whenever there’s something painted on the sculpt or the paint added to the mold to make everything that color) so one way companies save money is to not use as much paint. So one way they save money is just by molding the sculpt in one color so they don’t have to pay for paint when they have to pay for the molds, joints, sculpt, accessories, packaging, features, etc. it’s actually a really interesting process

@@REAL_BigBoiLifts i have to agree. This is far from Chris's best work which is usually exceptional. This one looks unfinished. Especially in some of the grey areas. Very flat. I certainly couldn't do any better though. I'll just look forward to the next one. I'm really trying to not be an asshole. Just honestly, in this one and only case, i'd rather just have the original. Which i can't say about any of his other custom collectables, as his work is insanely impressive. This is the only one thats disappointed me.

So here goes... When I was ten I had a friend over and we were geeks and talking about superheroes (around 1982ish). We were watching a rerun (yeah I know, look it up there was a time before netflix and hulu!) of the 60's Batman t.v. series and talking about the cheesiness of the show compared to the comic books. My dad, a retired Navy Chief and a man who rarely addressed me or my friends walks by and says, "Holy catsh*t, Batman, a litterbox." It may not be up there but it is a memory my friend and I still laugh about today! Thanks Chris, I hope your happy, be merry, be silly and remember; you do it best!

Hey Chris! Here's a few tips to help customize the McFarlane DC Multiverse figures! Use hot water to soften the plastic so you can pop everything apart and rove the capes with greater ease. The entire body is made up of a bunch of dumbbell ball joints that make popping the shoulders, and torso pieces apart super easy when heated! On top of that, once you have it separated, you can Dremel a bit of the ball joint connector I'm the torso to open up greater articulation depth! The legs can be easily popped off their hinges when warm with a flat head screwdriver too and then just as easily put back on! These figures are crazy good for customization!

I love your work. Really inspiring for some repaints I do myself. Just so you know for future reference, the McFarlane figures are really easy to dismantle without cutting. By using a hair dryer, you can heat up and pop most of the joints at the legs and waist to remove that pelvic "diaper" piece without cutting the pieces.
