This is a full real-life example end-to-end demo of the cost allocation cycles (universal allocation) on SAP S4HANA FIOR using the allocation type (Distribution). The demo covers the process explained in the previous video in this playlist. The demo steps are:
- Cost Element Master Data
- Cost Element Groups
- Cost Center Master Data
- Cost Center Groups
- Statistical Key Figures (SKF) Master Data
- Enter Statistical Key Figure values
- Post a Journal Entry for expenses on the shared cost center

Great video. It is unfortunate that so many customers do not use this functionality and still calculate their overhead cost allocations externally in a spreadsheet.

Great video! Are you planning to share your knowledge on profit center allocation cycle while using SKF?

It would be very helpful if he could share knowledge in that area. I tried to create a profit center allocation cycle - distribution method via SAP Fiori "Manage Applications" App. I was unable to create it due to "Account Number" under senders. SAP recommends that we use GL account type X (Balance sheet) or N (Non operating Expense or Income). I did but the App did not accept it so i could not create a profit center allocation cycle.

Hi Abdullah in SAP GUI we used to create distribution cycles at controlling area level.But in Fiori we can create distribution cycles for single company code only .Is it not possible to create a distribution cycle at controlling area level only?

This question looks very new to me, What's your real business requirement? We can't post directly to profit centers in SAP. We can post to profit centers which post to cost centers. Then we distribute the cost from the cost centers.

@@AbdullahGalal the business requirement is regarding to retail industry they have profit centers for departments in the hypermarket like dairy, frozen,... they have a case where they rent a place inside the hypermarket and the income from that rent relates for two profit centers or they want to reallocate some of the revenue to another profit center, i happen to see a tcode FAGLGA31 which has the field for profit center to make distribution.
