Man I did the same thing my Sr Year of law school in Boston in 1992. I lived in a VW Westie for 10 months but rented a parking place for $100 in a below ground garage and ran a power hook up for electric heat. Saved about 7k

You guys figured it out. Mobile, no forest fire, or flood worries. No property taxes, rent/mortgage, pg&e gas, utilities, homeowners insurance. Gas, Food, Car Insurance, and what do you use for internet? I know Starlink will be out soon?

I've been wanting to go to school in Los Angeles since I was 8 and I know it's expensive as hell! so I basically trained myself to look for and learn to love alternative living. So Campers, RVs, Tiny homes, boat homes, I'm all for it! i really hope I can achieve this dream. I much more prefer this type of living so I think it'd be perfect.

I want to do this next year. Apartments are subject to change at anytime. For a 1 bedroom apartment it costs $1300 and the price is rising every year. It’s too much, students are being forced to borrow money and end up in huge debt before they’re even 25 years old!!!

Don’t you have rent for whatever RV park you’re staying in? That’s not free. Most places I’ve seen are 300-600/mo.

Now that I know this is an option, if I could go back in time, I'd totally do this when I moved out of my father's place. With all the money I could have saved between the time I moved out on my own to the time I bought my house, I could have paid for the house in cash.

You two are great and an inspiration for other young couples to draw from. Your adventure of life in the camper is fantastic. What a great way for a couple to grow, and of course the cost savings. However the adventure is going to be memorable for a lifetime. I am curious about the choice of a slide in camper vice a tow trailer. Additionally, you mentioned your abilities to cover the costs of your tuition. That too would be a great video for other students like yourselves. Providing insight and assistance in easing the burden of tuition and college costs as a whole and yet, like yourselves. Still able to get out and enjoy life and school. One last note, you mentioned not owning property. First you have a lifetime to achieve purchasing a home and property. But you can save for it now... look for property deals... lots of options. Keep Smithin'it !

If your cost of rental is as high as cost of rental in San Francisco. I recommend you to live in RV. I only pay for less than 1000 for my 1b1b apartment. I will get an RV to travel not replace my home or apartment. If we put installment for truck and campers. It may cost more. Also RV owner may have to find a RV park to fill water and dump water at least once a few days?? it may cost $20 to $30 a night?

The one thing you forgot to mention was that you don't have a fixed address so that could also create a few other issues with the tax man!
