Hey Mike, now you have a good running Sportster for roughly $1,600 and having the satisfaction of using your skills to bring this machine back to life. Oh yeah, don’t forget to change that old fork oil as well! Sometime when you are ready you can fix the dented fuel tank and give it a nice 2 K paint job! I just finished my vintage Sportster and coming out with some vids as well later this winter. Take care!

Alright! It's good to see a young guy know how to work on his bike himself and have good common sense about it. I guess I watched these three videos of that Sportster being brought back to life because it reminded me of my close friend that passed away last October in the club and friends working on their old bikes. They would find & save scooters from going to plum ruin too. My old friends were thorough and and you have that old school work swag. I didn't see one sissy second in all three videos. Good job 👍🏻👍🏻

How much was the title and registration? Did you research the title yourself or use a service?

Researched it myself and had it checked at dmv/sherif/free online services!

put a dab of silicone on the top clips to secure the battery cover. I had to do the same, I have the same model, been at Harley for almost 3 years for repairs but that is a long sad story.

They’re hard to come by but when you do don’t pass them up!

They usually cost around $1000 for ditched condition. (Around Oklahoma area anyway)

@@GratefulEd907 I’m Way too fat for a Sportster
@GratefulEd9074 жыл бұрын
I live in southeast Alaska so I only have 5 or 6 months to ride but it’s a rainforest so only a few weeks of “nice” weather. I want a Harley and think a sportster for the price I don’t want to spend too much on something I won’t get to enjoy as much as I’d like. Now I have a Yamaha xt225 it’s a little duel sport it’s fun though I will say it’s pretty small for me but the price was right. I’ll double my money when I sell it

@@GratefulEd907 right on! I want to sell this one and get something else more of my style!
