Gas is $1.65 here in BC. Also, here when we rent apartments we have to pay for parking average $65 per month. Remember car payments as well. Rent in your city sounds cheaper but the power and heat add up.Here $100 per month or less would cover that but on the flip side 2 bed with 2 bath rent is average $2150

Thanks for part 2❤. The internet companies often have promotions...I started with 1 company on a promo ($80 monthly for int/cable for 1 year then raised to $105) then switch to another when they offered a better promo $75 monthly for 3 years) so we have to try to get the best bang for our buck. Based on my experience here....we do not pay for water bill as that is included in rent if you rent and included in your property taxes if you own. Gas...$1.65.

Canada is a bigger country than America but has a smaller population so everyone have to pay a lot of taxes, that's why trudeau brings in a lot of immigrates so they and there children will work and pay taxes in the future because canada has a ageing population.
