I was looking at decent 2 bedroom apartments comparable to what I would look at in North America and its around 3500 KYD/month. Considering housing should not be more than 30% of your income, you would need to make 140k KYD per year at least, especially if you have kids and need to pay for school as well, for it to be worth it to move there.

Yes you are correct moving here is costly and even more so if you add children into that equation as the cost of education is quite high here.

@@MG007. I have lived here 6 years and have not experienced a major hurricane. People say due to the location of Cayman we often get missed by the hurricanes. 🌀 the last major hurricane was Ivan in 2004.
