i lived in santo Domingo in the Alma Rosa zona i lived off a total of $875 a month, you would have to see for yourself the house i was in negotiations to purchase a two story house , i lived upstairs with 3 bedrooms huge outdoor porch , just an incredible place, very spacious and the neighborhood was very safe, I'm originally from chicago so most of the DR looks safe to me plus i speak the language. i can't explain the level of peace when you fly away from America and all its bullshit.

Yes sir, excellent information for those who may consider relocating to the Sousa area. Although I’m not one who will be relocating, I still enjoy following some of the brothers who have made that leap, just to be informed and enlightened relative to the different lifestyles. I’ve vacationed in the RD for many years and have traveled to Sousa from Santo Domingo ( which is usually where I stay) when in country, just for a change of “scenery”. Thanks for the very relevant and informative information, I’ll be certain to stop in to Flip Flops for some good eats ( your chickens wings sound like the bomb) and also just to say hola next time I’m in the area. Keep up the good work, thanks!

Someone can live as well in the USA for as low as $ 1000 a month in you reduce your live style to a Caribbean lifestyle, No AC, NO car.If you stay at someone else room in the USA, you can pay $ 350 a month and that covers rent, Wifi, cable, water and sometimes food. You buy a month transportation for $ 60, cell phone plan $ 25, Food can be as $ 300 a month especially if you cook. For me, it is similar and vary on the lifestyle.

Didn't realize you were posting content on KZbin. Good video. Real talk. Down here in Santiago I'm living very comfortable at $200 USD/ RD$ 10,000 a week. Sosua is slightly more expensive but definitely doable for under $1,000 USD a month..

Just wanted to say I’ve been there three times within the past year. Love the city of Santo Domingo. I have a place in SD East in the Parque Italia area. No tourist there. Working class neighborhood. All these beaches that people mention are good places to go but one place I don’t here about is in Azúa. I’ve been to Boca Chica many times and Punta Cana once. Azúa beach is better than both in my opinion.

Hey, I am seriously considering retiring early in the DR in 3 years. I visited Punta Cana in May and while that is heavy tourist area, I have likely secured a 1 bedroom apartment from an AirBnb owner who would rather rent her condo full time on a long term lease. Lucky me. Plus, because of the location of the condo in the Bavaro, I won't need a car. I hear the DR is one of the most dangerous places to drive anyway, so I would not be interested in owning a vehicle there. Question: What does medical insurance payment cost as it was not a part of your budget? Thanks.

Its ok at the first but if I do buy a home or even rent later is that still a requirement ? & How difficult is it to get dual citizenship for the US & DR so I can travel when I want to which I doubt would be very often but still ...

@propertybrothers47405 жыл бұрын
LOL $1500 for tricking is way too much when you live in D.R. When you live in the country, you don't pay gringo prices to trick off. When the chicas you want to chill with know you live there you end up paying far less or paying by just taking her out for a 300 peso meal. Then you get it the same way Dominican dudes get it.
