Thanks, Flavio! I would strongly encourage you to consider this at some point - from such experiences there is a lot to learn, as well as it gives a bunch too:)

Mega! So great to watch on the trainer during winter!

Thats one of the best ways to getting sense to the tracks and the races! 🫶🏻 and there is time to check some nature too, as long as its not high intensity intervals, haha!

Jesus I had idea its sketchy but this is next level. really hard track. Seems on some places it was badly marked ??

Imagine my facial after arriving here for the first time! :D As a comparison, remember the fallen guy stretching the leg in ABC23? Pretty much every day had multiple and more complicated trails, with rocks and loose stones added into equation. The course had few poorly marked places because some sections crossed in a few stages and...Well, I was lucky to know the course from recons, but not lucky enough towards the end of the race. GPX's was showing its wrong way, but other guy + arrow was pointing against. Organizers also updated maps 2 days before the race, thus there were some deviations where it's not clear who to trust :D

@@tom10crafted well I guess its Spanish thing to stretch on most sketchy place. I did notice they are fighting for place not letting people pass and even boxing in (pushing out of the trail). ... Maybe its just racing in more serious way ?
@tom10crafted Жыл бұрын
@@Nikica358 I think its the latter. As you perfectly know, all sorts of people are everywhere - so it has apparently nothing to do with the nationalities. Just pure human instincts on top of thoughtful mind.

@tom10crafted Thanks for the video! How do you train for races like this? Zwift or TrainerRoad? What is your FTP?
@tom10crafted Жыл бұрын
Hey, my pleasure! Training for such race in the beginning of the season is a difficult topic. As I came here not for the result but collecting experience, I did 0km indoors as well as no high intensity intervals. Whole autumn and december been riding outside in Lithuania (sub 0, snow, etc), and then two weeks before the race arrived to Spain to get used to temps, terrain and did few higher intensity rides. My FTP last year was 350W (achieved during the race), and on Stage 1 I managed to push it a bit further already, haha!
@artemartem7534 Жыл бұрын
@@tom10crafted 350 that is cool :) Thank you so much!
@tom10crafted Жыл бұрын
Two important notices - power mentioned is 20min effort - meaning, FTP was around 333W. And the other factor - my weight, which is around 82kg :)

Do you know the race before doing it? Cause this first 10km are dangerous af and you were fast
@tom10crafted Жыл бұрын
Yes, I did recon of majority of the trails, Stage 1/Stage 3 specifically. It was very beneficial, not only from technical standpoint but safety, too. Coming to such race without past experience on such terrain(like it was for me) could end up badly IMO
@XavierHipolito Жыл бұрын
@@tom10crafted just from the video which probably doesn't make justice but already shows how dangerous it is
@tom10crafted Жыл бұрын
That is exactly the case - in some places even hiking on feet is a bit problematic, which camera surely does not portray at all :)
