Captain De Falco was absolutely brilliant. I am a coastguard and this is the way to deal with the Schettinos of this world. To have this incident on your watch is bad enough but to have to order the captain back to a sinking ship with 4000 people on board must have severely compounded the nightmare rescue co-ordination. I dread to think what the death toll would have been had it not been a few metres from the shore and decent sea conditions and weather. Gregorio gets my respect. Bravo Zulu!
