Even though I'm a man who has traveled solo, a lot of the same rules apply. Always pay attention to your surroundings. Do not drink to excess. Be aware when you are with the opposite sex. Trust your instincts.

Yes very true ... and be street smart and aware of your surroundings!

I am here in San Jose, CR now. I traveled here solo for medical tourism. I have extra time here so I'm looking to experience the beauty in CR. Thanks for the video

Great job with the video, and I like how detailed you were with your experiences. I'm sorry to hear about the catcalling while in San Jose. That was a smart decision about not getting in that car. I would have done the same thing if I were in your shoes. I think your tips are great, and this is a great niche as you have a lot of experience and you are very honest. Have you considered setting up a website where you post your travel tips and recommendations for solo travelers especially female solo travelers? I think that would be awesome at that! Awesome video, Jamie!

Thanks Scott! That's a great idea! :) No worries, it didn't ruin the experience but it was something to keep in mind when deciding how to get around San Jose. Thanks for your support!

I like the world map behind you, every time you somehow find one for your background. Glad that you like solo travelling there overall. Wish that those cat callers get a life. Our guts are a muscle. The more we use and practice, the more it becomes a second nature and reliable. You are also so cognizant on the non-tracking uber, very observant of you! The bus was in magenta color :) I like this new segment of rating and reviewing/reflecting you trips. Many of your videos become more conversational now

@@JamieBanksTravel I guess no matter where are you at, wherever you go, you're in my heart ❤️ The Bible does say that 2 are better than 1. I feel that you were in Chile and Argentina 🙃

I travel solo 90% of the time. It's flexible for you because you can decide your schedule and don't have to wait the other person. Also a good way to get to know yourself, get to know the world

I do speak some Spanish but need more practice. :) it is very touristy so many people know English.

So you never talked to anyone in Costa Rica? No man in Costa Rica wanted to be your company and your guide?

Met a few friends, mostly hung out with other travelers. 👍🏻 My guide in Tortuguero was incredible.
