I think I’d probably agree - these cabins can feel a little basic for a suite category - Cunard’s basic cabins feel quite lux!

Hi Fraser, I’m finding your videos, very informative and entertaining. I am due to embark on our first cruise in February. we will be onboard Costa Toscana. What are the prices like for drinks? Would you recommend a drinks package? We won’t be consuming alcohol. I believe they do a soft drinks package for around €160 per person. This is for seven nights.

Hey! Thanks so much - glad to have you here! If you’re not drinking alcohol, I’d propose one of the lesser packages. On Costa, you pay for water by the glass too, so a soft drink package including glasses of water is what I’d probably go for. Price wise, think standard hotel pricing on land - not expensive, but the packages are worth it to avoid counting the money, if that makes sense… Have the best time - please stop back and let me know how it goes for you - I’ll pray for sunshine!!

Very much looking like a cabin on the Smeralda, not quite as shrill in colors though. The balcony cabin we got on the Smeralda was nice, but did not have a fridge, the lamp and fruit basket type of thing mounted on the table were immovable limiting the desk significantly. The bathroom was gorgeous! We liked the frosted glass a lot! The cupboard space was very limited and the shelves not deep enough. The balcony itself was useless for us, since Costa allows smoking outside and we were pissed off by smoke coming from all the balconies beside and lower than our cabin. Beware! We will never book Costa again. It was a waste of money. Not even a brandnew ship can make up for a lousy experience.

Hey, thanks for watching! I do agree with the smoking - it’s amazing that they allow it. I had a few days where I came back to a room smelling like smoke because next door had been out there - not ideal 🤦🏻‍♂️

Guess I'm lazy at heart because it looks like I couldn't reach the reading lamps from the bed. 🤣 Is it possible? I also wonder what the skinny storage under the TV could be used for. 🤔 All that aside, nice suite! Thanks! Forgot to add that smoking on the balcony is a deal breaker for me!

Ha, the lights from bed comment is too funny 😂 You actually can, but it’s a stretch for the reading lamps! The skinny storage under the TV was SO weird - I’m glad you agree - somewhere to store the sun lotion, perhaps?! 😂

Hey! I don’t believe this is a Grand Suite - I got into one of them on Costa Toscana, and it was much bigger and better than this one, so I’m assuming this is just a regular aft corner suite?

I am giving this video a negative: Not due to you, Sir. It is just (in my mind) pathetic. In my mind a suite should include a dining room, a lounge room and a bedroom. This should be reclassified as an hideous fake 2-bedroom space… Not for me at all.

Hi David, thanks for leaving this comment! I do hear you, but would say that this room with Costa is their version of a suite, and is MUCH more budget friendly than a suite with most rival cruise lines. Thanks so much for watching and following along!

Wow amazing the size is incredible and let me tell you I had to look up Costa to see the prices after your videos they are priced fantastic way cheaper than princess which I think is comparable let me know if you think different. The site I looked at had a $ so I am thinking this is US pricing I did see the euro symbol too for taxes and stuff but I want to go try a costa ship now 🛳️great video as usually Fraser 😄
