I've had this ac for a whole year now. Got it from Costco for 450 I think. Summer electricity bill was 350 with time of day rate and central air running all the time. Central Air struggled to cool the whole house especially my NW facing upstairs office and bedroom under the hot roof. This thing easily cools down the upstairs. I turned down my central air to 75 and set this to 65 all summer. Electricity bill dropped 100. It's already paid for itself.

for me it did, took awhile to clear out. also very noisy cant seem to find quiet mode

I had to return mine because of a bad smell when I turned it on for the first time. But I have no issues with this one, considering, I've only had it on 3 times. It does keep my room pretty cool and my bedroom can be like a sauna !! Also I don't find it too loud but I enjoy the sound of a hairdryer or white noise while I sleep
