Welcome to A Peek Inside. My name is Darlene and I have been happily married for over 25 years with two amazing children and two handsome pups. I've been doing KZbin since 2016 but decided to have a fresh start in 2024. My focus now is giving a little peek into my journey as a woman that was a military spouse, stay at home mom and homemaker that enjoyed those years but many of those things have changed with my husband's retirement and the children getting older and I am feeling a little lost. I am taking the time to focus on myself to make my health a priority so I can be around to enjoy the beautiful life and family that my husband and I created.

Love your Costco haul. The hash browns we have had that in the states for few years and we always have that in our pantry. Saves you space in the freezer and great to take camping

Hi Darlene. Love those prepackaged portion chicken. They are so convenient. Almost bought the Unreal bars. I will next time I go. Do you remember if they had any other flavour of the chicken sausage. They used to sell a Jalapeño one in another brand before that was really good, but haven't seen them in a couple years. A lot of camping KZbinrs use the boxed hash browns. I prefer the frozen cubed ones. Maybe if you cook them up with some veggies and mix in the scrambled eggs like a hash or mountain man breakfast, you wouldn't notice the saltiness as much. Just a thought. Thank you for your videos. And your hair looked really nice.

In Canada this is the first time I have ever seen this. They do have a chicken, spinach and feta flavour all the time.

You should check out yetis. They have a lot of different style lids but also size cups. They are also popping up at so many stores. Even home hardware and peavymart have them. Not sure if you have those in southern Ontario. I'm in Durham region so my variety of stores is endless😂

I made a great discovery several years back regarding freezer bags. I noticed my bread in the freezer stayed fresh just fine. Apparently the bread bags worked fine. I started using them for all my freezer stuff. I have never bought another freezer or storage bag again! I reuse them except when with meat - then I toss them :) That chicken is like Perdue Short cuts. Love it :)

We are contemplating getting a freezer in the garage for stick up. I shop at Publix and they often bogo on chicken, legs, thighs & boneless skinless breast etc.

Another great video. A upright freezer is the way to go. If you see one you like buy the size up. I wish someone told me that. Better to have empty space than fighting for space. I still use my individual bags in the upright freezer. I save Costco baby wipes boxes and insert them into my bags. Thanks for all the new products . Have a great day.

I never buy rotisserie chicken. I find the white meat to be overcooked and dry, always. To the point I end up tossing it, which is not budget friendly at all. That said, I appreciate the product reviews along with your other content. Thank you! I also agree with the upright freezer choice. So much easier to find stuff and a lot less bending over!

I like the white meat but not really much of the rest of a rotisserie chicken. I have never had a dry one but do like them once in a while.

I have been buying red grapes just lately,,as I have found the green ones are not as good as usual. I have been checking the channels I regularly subscribed to and a few have been unsubscribed, and a lot of people have been experiencing the same problem.

I did organize my outside freezer. Now I know what’s in there. Wrote it in a notebook like you. Go Toronto. Do NOT put the thermo cups in dishwasher it breaks the seal.

The unreal coconut bars are so yummy…..just like a bounty bar but way less sugar 😃. I saw the chili lime almonds but haven’t bought them yet but I want to 😂

I was on the fence about the Stanley thing. My husband found a pink Stanley and bought it for me last month. I wasn’t really excited about it because I thought it was too big and bulky and I don’t like to jump in on crazy trends BUT then I tried it. I filled it with ice and water at lunch, ( noon ish ) then at the end of the day I put it on the counter and went to bed. Got up the next morning and to my surprise, the ice was still there. I’ve never had it leak. I’m sold. I highly recommend them.

Great haul! I like the convenience of the chicken chunks. I’d love if you could show the nutrition values on the back of products. I know calorie counting isn’t for everyone and that’s fine but personally I’m on a slight calorie deficit and it would be super helpful to see the labels.

I love it when you share new products with us, then review them! I saw lots of things I'd like to try myself! The UnReal bars, chili lime almonds and Cluckin' Sauce! Could you tell me what that tastes like? I've been loving the Real Good chicken nuggets, and that sauce might be great on them!

Darlene, great video! I have been using Winrock Reusable Silicon Bags for a couple of years. I really like them. They are dishwasher-safe. I like to keep chopped onions, peppers, and celery in them. For me, it is so much easier to pull together a meal if I already have my onions chopped and ready to go. I think I am going to chop up some carrots and also put them in a bag for my side-by-side freezer. I have some other silicon bags I use, but Winrock is my favorite. I buy them on Amazon, Winrock Reusable Silicone Food Storage Bag. Carrots for the furbabies please.

I have seen that single portion chicken at Costco and wondered what it was like. It is definitely something I am interested in! I really need to get to Costco to stock up for summer goodies. We usually buy the boxes of different varieties of chips. We have kids that come see us and they love getting their own bag of chips! I also really enjoy the premade stuffed peppers! I know that I can make them but I don’t! I take the easy way out! I have also had the Mac and cheese from the premade and it is amazing! Have a great day!

I like to have the hashbrowns on hand because they are shelf stable and compact. I use them mostly in a breakfast casserole or breakfast burritos. I wanted to get the unreal bars but I think I waited too late in the month and they were all gone at my location.

I have had Alani protein drinks in my cart twice at Costco & put them back both time ~ I'm worried I won't like the taste ... I'm in Nova Scotia & have only seen the Munchies and Cookies and Cream flavor... Which so you suggest?

The cookies and cream is better in my opinion but I am pretty sure you can take them back if you don't like them. I would double check but if you ever see the Fairlife ones they are the ones to get because they taste the best.
