Hi Doc - I heard your channel introduction, you’re a musician too. I’m a late in life rocker with hearing aids. My loss is in the higher spectrums from 250k to 500 25 db 750k to 2k it drops to 60 db and flatlines there to 8k. Left a little worse than the right but pretty close. My question is about In Ear Monitors. I read somewhere that you can tweak the EQ based on your audiogram to bring your db closer to normal. The system we use allows for each monitor to receive their own mix & EQ. I tried a sample track to A/B how it would sound. With my hearing aids or with IEM playing the same track with EQ db raised based on my audiogram. It seemed to me like it was too much. Maybe I’ll just have to experiment with it. What has your experience been working with musicians with hearing loss utilizing IEM’s?
