I’m so happy I live in Kansas where we are full of farmers.. I can see how the cows are raised and treated and know what I’m getting 🙌🏻 a half cow of grass finished beef is 750. Meat all year.. I also get all my raw dairy, I make cheese and butter and ghee 🙌🏻

Nice. I miss buying a side/half or whole cow where I grew up in WA State. The last time I bought any there was 20 yrs ago & it was $2.25 lb, cut & wrapped😂 ~ ~in other words; "those were the daaaays"🎵 *What is the weight of that half cow?

I used to design merchandise packaging for a Fortune 500 company and one thing I learned is that if you wanted any product on the shelves in Walmart (Sam’s Club) then you were contractually obligated to give them the lowest retail price, which always ends in an “8” (usually .98) I’m sure this applies to everything they sell including food. That is their pricing. Can’t miss it now that you know.

I used to love those meat sticks. Then they went to 50% less sodium and, to me, they just didn't taste as good. Plus, one of the ingredients is "natural flavorings" which always gives me pause.

I have both too. Sam's is always doing deals on their memberships, I think I paid $7 for my membership there. Ghee is so easy to make, paying for the store bought stuff is a waste of money in my opinion.

Costco doesn't sell 18 packs of eggs, they sell 24 packs.

I stopped going to these places when I found out about my local grocery store sales and markdowns at night. I think it silly that people have to pay to shop. Just get a larger fridge or freezer to hord the sale items

This video has been a big help in trying to make up my mind which store to obtain a membership. I've often wondered which would be best for our family. SAM'S is 5 miles away while COSTCO is 35 miles. You've sold me on the upgraded membership, too. So SAM'S wins out in our case. Does COSTCO offer a "1-day complimentary shopping pass"? I know Sam's used to.

For ground beef and bacon i go to gordon's food service. 3.40 a pound for 10 pounds of 80/20 and a 3 pound back of thick cut bacon is like 10 bucks. No membership.

My Sam’s has organic grassfed ground beef 85/15 product of USA for 4.98/lb in the vacuum seal packages. I’m in the a suburban area in a mid sized Midwest city. Also you’ve got to watch the price per ounce/pound because Sam’s sometimes will have smaller packages. Their Kerrygold butter brick is smaller so I think the price per ounce there is essentially the same.

We are lucky, the local butcher shop has $3.99 a lb chuck steaks and brisket and $5.99 a lb ribeye. We stock up. I find the sales at local stores like aldi and kroger better than prices I have seen at costco/sams.

We have been Costco members for maybe 7 years. We have been carnivore for over a year and a half. Sam's is having a deal for teachers that we can join for $20 and we are thinking about getting it for a year and try both. Both stores are an hour away and we will only go maybe twice a moth. We do like Topo Chico in glass bottles and have not found it at Costco but hoping they might have it at Sam's. Walmart carries it but is always out.

YMMV :) just short 3yr carnivore here :) Fun channel :) one thing you left out that is good to know is that Costco Blade tenderizes a lot of their steak ? Pro con some say it can make it more dangerous to eat raw or super rare ? YMMV again but its good to know and I do not think sams does this as they do not put it on the package ? So no idea ?? Also at costco (not sure about sams) you can ask for the whole loin and get it untrimmed for steaks so no blade tenderized sometimes cheaper and you can cut your own thickness retain the fat !! Win win Also costco has a business store that is dif than their regular ones and they have a INSANE meat section like a dedicated walk in just for meat ! And open fridge bins also !!!! and those living around the business ones know what I am talking about Example the biz costco had select ribeyes recently for $7.99 or something a lb :) brisket prime vs choice is HUGE for me :) prime any day every day but yeah YMMV Agree on butter at costco brand and the markdowns at sams Eggs I dont do wife does but I only see 2doz and 5doz sizes at our costco ? I have both memberships also if I had to have one costco hands down !!! I did get my sams for $5 as said they have deals mine was a T-Mobile Tue deal I find the flavor/texture better out of costco meat and includes the ground but sams is fine and has beat most any local store except a few high end ones like AJs Costco IMHO has a superior cheese selection but I dont do cheese much these days

I'm lucky if I see select brisket for under $10 a pound in southeast Alaska. If I had access to prime at 4.29 I don't think I'd be eating much else

I have both Executive memberships. I think that the meat is better at Sam’s Club. More organic choices. I get Kerrygold at Sams. However, I just discovered the Kirkland brand.

Chuck roast is around 4.98/lbs at Sam's, about 20% less than walmart. No other places comes close in my area, but when I lived in Las Vegas that cut went on sale frequently for 2.99/lbs. Bacon is a little cheaper at Walmart but not much, everything else is about the same.

@@bucsfan2565 yes. I was there today and looked for grass fed burgers frozen. They only have the organic chopped beef fresh. Bought the grass fed NZ butter and a roast at 3.99 per lb. I’ll make steaks out of it.

In my case Costco is twice as far away and the nearest one is crowded whenever I go there, any time it’s open. The picanha is an incentive though, but it’s often on about-to-expire $5.24/lb at Winn-Dixie here… in sizes better suited to one person.

Costco sells them in 2-3 packs, which is fine if you have the freezer space for them. If not then your other option is definitely better

I have a Costco in my area but no Sam's Club. I honestly don't buy any meat from Costco most of the time. I don't find that it is any cheaper compared to standard grocer prices with exception of butter and eggs. There is a restaurant supply store though and because it's not a grocery store, you get prices really fucking cheap and they don't require a membership. I got a sub primal of Ribeye for $3.50 per pound and a Chuck for about $3.00 per pound. Chopped them into roasts and steaks and froze them. All of this was USDA Prime not that I really care about that marker. I'll buy anything if it's cheap. It was also Angus and while the ribeye wasn't grass finished grass fed, the chuck was.

I don't think either club is worth it . I can get meat much cheaper at a local food city. I get ground beef for 2 bucks a lb. Beef shanks for 2.29 a lb. Last week I bought t bones for 3.99 per lb. If I want the best tasty fatty meat, I will splurg on chuck eye steaks for 6.99 per lb. And they cater to Hispanics so there is always plenty of organ meats. Sam's club is good for rotisserie chicken for 5 bucks. Sometimes they have steelhead for 9 bucks a lb. And of course gasoline and 5 % cash back on gas if you use their credit cards

I got both memberships but Costco is my favorite. My Sam’s is closer to me but it depends What state you live in my sam’s I Can’t never Find any good meat like Costco for example the Picanha my Costco is way better!!!!!!!

Why did you refer to the Mineral water as a carnivore essential / enjoyable? Is that because the dissolved minerals is of specific nutritional value to those on carnivore? Or is it just because you personally enjoy it?

I've noticed that Costco seems to not raise prices on "staple" items like butter and eggs and tend to raise prices elsewhere before the staples. Sam's tends to increase prices equally across the board. Case in point was the 2022 egg shortage. Sams eggs were outrageous but Costco never increased prices. Costco Ribeyes and Strips are blade tenderized while Sam's steaks are not. Sam's steaks are better because they aren't tenderized.
